Busy Day!

This has been a busy day. We woke up to snow on the ground and a lot of schools in the area on delay, but alas, (sorry girls) not ours. KLS woke up with sinus headache, so got her to eat something & take some medicine and by the time her sister was ready for school (she goes an hour later), she was feeling better and ready to go to school. I dropped them both off and then headed to work.

Work was very busy because there was a major electric outage in the city and believe it or not, everyone in town calls the police department when their electric is out. So we were flooded with calls and I do mean flooded!! Anyway, they finally got it fixed and things got back to normal there.

Then after work, I ran home and picked up hubby and KLS and we went to the school to watch KJS play basketball (by the way they won again). Left there and had to go to the high school to a meeting for KLS's College Life Skills Class. Got a lot of good information here for her future. Only a year and a half to go and she'll be heading off to college (where has the time gone?)

After that, we went out and grabbed a bite of supper and finally got home around 8:30 or so. See what I mean, it's been a busy day!! But it's been a good one! I don't mind busy, if everyone stays in a good frame of mind and that's the way today has been. Even though it's 11:00, I'm going to try to do a lesson from the Esther study and then hit the bed. I'll try to catch up on everyone's blog tomorrow.

Goodnight!

  1. You did have a busy day! Didn't realize the police were responsible for getting my power restored. I'll have to call them the next time it goes out...just kidding. :)

Hey, I noticed the tidbits you've got listed from Believing God - Great Stuff! I haven't done that study yet. So far Living Beyond Yourself is my favorite study by Beth Moore. So very practical. I've done it twice and need it again.

Hope your day is a little calmer.

  4. Whew! It was a busy day for you. I hope Tuesday is better.

I've just started the Esther study and am looking forward to getting into it.

We are having an ice storm here. The ground is almost white today with sleet and little snow and. . there's about 1/2" of ice under the sleet. Fortunately, we get to stay home.

They call the police station ? ? ?
That's a new one. We live in a very small town (kind of like Mayberry -- with a Barney and everything) but we don't call our police dept. when the power goes off. I wonder what they would think if we did? :)

    Have a good day!

  5. Sounds like you had a busy day. I am glad to hear the weather didn't stop you getting to work and watching the basketball. It is really scary how time flies and our kids are growing up. I hope your daughter has an idea what she would like to study and become. My daughter (nearly 13) has no idea and next year will have to choose subjects to study.
