Winter Brrrrr!

I went to work today, but after we got there the City Manager sent out a notice that non-essential employees could go home at their supervisor's discretion (and not be charged holiday or vacation time) because of the Level II (which changed to a Level III before I left) Snow Emergency in our county. My boss, the police chief, felt we were emergency personnel and should stay. Later he said I could leave at noon as long as it stayed quiet. I had hubby come back and pick me up at 1:00 and now I'm home for the day!!! See how good God is! From my previous post you can tell I was working on having the right spirit because the rest got to stay home and I had to work. Then God turned around & blessed me and let me come home early. I just so love God!!

I took a few pictures (about 55) today and thought I'd share a few!

This is our house

This is our street (I think it's so pretty in the snow)

Look at our poor little bird feeder

This is out the side door the police department where I work. That's the fire department across the street. I love this little tree (I can see it from my office window). I don't know what kind of tree it is, but it has little red berries on it, even now with all the ice and snow. I just opened up the side door and stood there an took this picture. Look how hard it's snowing!

Here's the same tree, except I put my coat on and went outside to take it. Yep, still snowing hard and I looked like a snowman when I got back inside.

Stay warm and safe everyone!

  7. We got a lot of snow yesterday and almost nobody got our of their driveways until late in the afternoon. It was and still is a mess. There was a foot of snow on top of an inch of ice.

I enjoyed seeing your photo and glad you were able to share some of these winter delights.

  10. Nice pictures. I took Tuesday and Wednesday both off. Didn't want to risk getting stuck and being forced to walk with my bum knee.
