  1. That was fun. That is a big pet peeve of mine in the church too. You will never be able to please everyone, but why do they have to be so critical?

  2. this was good. my pet peeve is that our people show up late to church. It is a cultural thing but it drives me crazy..we start the service, literally with 10-15 people in the sanctuary. But within 15 minutes the place is full. I just don't get it.

the show I watch that I would tell the congregation is "Americas next top model" I watch b/c my daughter watches and we call and talk about it and b/c it is so ridiculous!!

  6. Cathy: Thank you for stopping by my blog! It was a sweet deacon's wife who helped me with the "drop-in" company issue. She told me that she loved me and was not there to see my house - she needed to see ME! It really hit home with me. And another time when I had been shopping with another pastor's wife I had this lesson hit home again. We had been shopping all afternoon, and when I dropped her off at her house I asked her if I could use the restroom before driving myself on home, and she told me no! She said her house was not clean enough for me to come in... I told her it did NOT matter, but she would not let me in and I NEEDED to come in... Anyway, that hit home with me and I decided to relax over the whole issue - plus I really do try to keep the kitchen and living room "picked up, " and this motivates me. I don't have little ones at home any more, so it is much easier.

    God bless you,
    Jan

  11. What a great idea for a meme! That was neat.

I'm glad to hear you freak when the doorbell rings, cuz I know I sure do. My house is never 'company ready'. I always need 20 minutes, and then it can look fabulous. Just don't dare open that utility room door.... ha ha ha
