It's official. I am the mother of a licensed driver. How in the world did that happen?!? She can't be more that 8 or 9. I mean where did the time go. The years have flown and somehow she's 18 and legally driving now!
She took and passed her test yesterday. Now mom and dad have to let her go and drive away from the house without us. I don't know if I can do it. Pray for me!! lol
Pray for her too, that God will send an angel to sit on her bumper and keep her safe from all those other drivers.
I feel your pain, my friend!
ReplyDeleteHey Cathy! Congrats to you and your daughter! I know that means she growing up, but it also means you have someone that can run errands for you when you're swamped with other things and that sort. That's one thing I look at when people have "children". I hope that doesn't sound strange, but I've had people say, why can't you go here and there, while trying to keep house, work, going to church and a million other things. They don't realize there's only one of me and they have 2 or 3 children that help do errands, help clean, help them with all the different aspects of family living, which I think is great. Once again, congrats on "your caterpillar becoming a butterfly!" ( I love that analogy).
ReplyDeleteLove ya!

Amen to angels watching over her. There are some crazy drivers out there. Congrats to Kelli! That is awesome.
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain too!!! My youngest is about to get his license.....ugh, this parenting never gets easier!!!
ReplyDeleteGod Bless your heart, Cathy!
ReplyDeleteI remember all to well, those white-knuckle days !
Although it gets easier, I still worry (my kids are in their 20's) ... actually my father still worries about me :)
All the best with new drivers~
Merry Christmas,
Maria
I'm right there with ya! My oldest turned 16 in October.....frightening how fast that happened!
ReplyDeleteI'm with ya, I totally feel your pain. It is hard not worry when they are out there driving on their own.
