1. What is one really fast, know-by-heart "go-to" meal to fix in a pinch?
Something we call "Schlop"  It's browned hamburger, macaroni and cheese, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, and sour cream.   Yummy!  We love it here and it's very easy and very filling and I'm sure very fattening.  lol

2. What is one item you won't leave home without. (Purse and license do not count.)
My cell phone.  Even though I really don't use it that much, it's just a comfort to have in case I need it for something.

3. Where is one place you never tire of visiting?

Disney World, of course!

4. Share one factoid of your family's history.
My great grandmother was a bride, a widow and a mother all in 1 year.

5. Complete this sentence: "Once upon a time I ...."

Puppies and Children rolling around on the floor together.

  11. My grandmother was a bride, widow, and mother within a year as well. Her husband was shipped off to WWII shortly after their honeymoon. He disappeared over Sicily three months later. I don't know if he even knew that he was an expectant father prior to his disappearance. :( I believe it was after my aunt was born that he was declared dead rather than MIA. Poor grandma....she outlived three husbands.

    Happy Wednesday!!

  15. thx 4 coming by...
wasabi: thick green root of the wasabi plant (Japanese use in cooking)...tastes like strong horseradish but the after effects don't linger; in powder or paste form it is often eaten with raw fish or steamed sushi
I especially like it on a thickly sliced chicken sandwich or honey-baked ham sammie

I eat it also on california rolls with pickled ginger...yummy!

  16. Some asked about my great grandmother. My great grandfather was a blacksmith in Kentucky and shortly after being married he was kicked in the head by a horse and died. My grandfather was born after he died so he never met his own father. My great grandma later remarried and the family has grown from there.
My grandpa had a tin type picture of my great grandpa in front of his blacksmith shop and my dad had it blown up into a large photo hanging in their house. It's not very clear, but you can sure tell by his stance that he's family. The men in our family all stand the same way. lol
I'll try to get a copy of the photo sometime and show everyone.
