It's Rather Quiet Around Here!

I haven't told you yet, but my oldest went back to school last week and it's gotten rather quiet here. Yes, we're still listening to my youngest blasting her music, but it's still kinda quiet. I never realized how much the noise level rises when there are 2 teenage girls in the house. Lots of times it drives me insane, but I have to say I kinda miss it right now. Sshhh, don't tell them that though!

We had a great month with my oldest home, but she's back where she belongs and she's doing fine and so are we. My youngest is getting used to being the only one again (and I think she loves all the attention).

So anyway, last Tuesday when we took her back, we had to get up around 3:30-4:00am and get ready and drive her to the airport. We all went and then went in with her and stayed with her until it was time for her to head on through security. It was fun even though it felt like the middle of the night. We took some pictures, I'll show you in a minute.

After she called us and let us know she had gotten to where she needed to board the plane, we left and then hubby,Kerri and I went out for breakfast and then on to work and school. Yay...not!

I'd say we aren't too shabby looking for that early in the morning! ha! Of course, the fact that we have the 2 cutest girls in the world sure helps!

So Kelli, we miss you, but we're getting back to normal and I know you are too. We'll see you in May and on FB until then! Love you lots.  Mom

  1. you know I can so relate to this post. However, mine have been gone for over 2 weeks so I am back into the routine here! I am impressed how great you look so early...I think I would have been in my sweats, hat and slippers! ha!

  2. I'm so glad you got to spend some quality time with your girls. I can't imagine how hard it's going to be when that day comes for my boys to go away, but I hope I handle it as well as you seem to be doing. God bless

  3. I agree, your girls are beautiful!
Things do change around the house as our children grow up. Hope you have a nice weekend.

  4. It is awfully quiet when they leave. My youngest says we can drop her at the airport door but we do not agree. We go all the way to security and wave obnoxiously until we can't see her anymore. Then we insist she call us from the gate and when she lands. We are a lot : ) Secretly she loves it : )

  6. Hi cathy
Thanks for your comment. We go back this April. Glad you enjoyed a day visiting the diffrent resorts. We did that too and it was one of my favorite days. My daughter decided to collect pins from the different resorts too which were fun to collect.
I enjoyed seeing the pictures with your daughters. May will be here before you know it.
    Have a great weekend.
