1. What makes you stand to your feet and cheer?
Someone coming to know the Lord and most anything Patriotic. Well, I may not cheer, but I'm definitely thrilled by it.
2. What's your favorite patriotic song?
My Country Tis of Thee
3. Do you believe that opposites attract? If you have a significant other are you opposites?
I know they do when it comes to magnets. I'd say hubby and I are very similar in many ways but with some very opposite characteristics too.
4. You're going to get a behind the scenes look someplace...where would you like that someplace to be?
Walt Disney World of course!
5. How far would you have to travel to ride a carousel (merry-go-round)?
Just about 10 miles or so to Kings Island Amusement Park
6. When was the last time you saw fireworks? What was the occasion? Do you enjoy fireworks?
Sunday evening I saw a few while waiting to pick up my daughter. Someone in the neighborhood was setting some off. But the last time I saw a complete professional show was last July 3rd (my town does them on the 3rd). But the best I've seen are the ones at Disney World.
7. Of all the 'beauty products' you own, what item do you consider to be the most overpriced?
I don't own too many because they are to pricey plus I'm not sure they help too much. I'm not sure which would be the most overpriced though.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
I have so totally been enjoying my front porch this last week during the cooler evenings. I've got a couple new hanging baskets of flowers and I've hung a hummingbird feeder (haven't seen any yet) and just relaxing and reading my Kindle. See this is one of those things I was talking about in question #3. Hubby and I both love to sit out on the front porch and read, however, we have totally different favorites in books. Life is good!
I have an iPad that has the kindle reader in it so I too sit and read from it and I too have very different books in it. Does Disney have fireworks every week? That would get old.
ReplyDeleteYes, Disney does have fireworks, not every week, but most every night (at least when I've been there). The amusement park I worked at when I was kid, did too (and still does).
ReplyDeleteI would love to have a hummingbird feeder out on our deck, but neighbors who had one said that the birds were messy and the dripped sugar water attracted ants.
ReplyDeleteI love Disney World, too, and hope to go next summer with my daughter and her family.
I didnt realize you were that close to Kings Island!!! I'll have to remember that next time we head up that way!!
ReplyDeleteFun answers. I'd love to read with you on your front porch! Cooler evenings? Last night at 11:00 pm it was still 93 here!
ReplyDeleteAnd oh, you can't miss about my trip to Atlanta!
We have a few hummimgbirds but not near as many as we typically do by the end of June.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your answers. Happy 4th!
Hey, Cathy~
ReplyDeleteIs there room on your porch for one more? :> )
Loved your answers...you always have a way of making me chuckle! lol
Blessings~
Laura
Your front porch sounds wonderful. Ours is always too hot until the sun gets completely down. We get a few hummers now and then, love to watch them. The fireworks in Disney were beautiful and I do not think you would ever get tired of them. Just part of the atmosphere!
ReplyDeleteThanks for remembering my daughter!
until next time... nel
Magnets. Funny. :)
ReplyDeleteI forgot about fireworks at Disney. By the time we saw them over the castle one night I had both girls falling asleep on each side of me. They were exhausted. Need to visit again!
Porch sitting and reading...so jealous! Sounds lovely!!
Happy 4th!
Too hot and buggy here for porch sitting but that does sound awesome! I always wanted a front porch, like on The Andy Griffith Show, with a porch swing and some rocking chairs. I'd sit there with a glass of iced tea and just be at ease!
ReplyDeleteWe can't enjoy our front porch or the deck---it's just too hot and humid out there! And will be until November!
ReplyDeleteI agree, Disneyworld has the best fireworks! They would probably have the best "behind the scenes" too.
ReplyDeleteOh, #1 was a great answer!! I don't know if you've read any of Frank Peretti's books, but in one of them (Piercing the Darkness, I think), he paints the most beautiful picture of a person being saved and the angels, unseen by this person, celebrating as they circle around her. That's how I envision heaven's response when the lost accept the gift of Christ.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I knew you'd say Disney: ). Happy 4th to you and your family!
