Chili Anyone?

Joyce who runs the Wednesday Hodgepodge asked us about chili on Wednesday and she got me in the mood to have some.  So I talked hubby into making some for supper. Some of you seemed surprised when I talked about having chili on spaghetti with shredded cheese on top. That's what we call a 3-way. If you add onions or beans then it's called a 4-way and if you add both it's a 5 way. This is also known as Cincinnati Chili. We have several chain restaurants in our area with this as their specialty.

Anyway, my hubby makes his chili, which is absolutely awesome by the way and a lot chunkier than these restaurants make. The picture below shows how I like to eat it. Yummy!    Just thought I'd share.

Oh and by the way, hubby took this picture with his phone so he could text it to our daughter who is a 1,000 miles away at college in a place that does not do 3-ways.  Can you say, jealous much?  hahaha

  1. I've never had spaghetti with my chili, but I've had cornbread and rice (not at the same time!). Sounds good!

  2. That is awesome... care package needed! When I was away at college... there was simply NOTHING better than receiving a package from home.

  3. I'm going to make some soon. We actually warmed up these past two days so we cranked up the grill. We're off to Parent's Weekend today and its warm and sunny in SC so I probably will hold off on the chili. Yours looks good though : )

  4. And doesn't Cincinnati chili have some other "secret" ingredient that makes it taste different than most chilis?? We spent a weekend in Cincinnati about 5 years ago and of course had to try some chili done 3-ways! It was certainly unique (and I don't mean that in a bad way). ;-)

  5. Not a fan of Cincinnati Chili, but that might have more to do with being named after Cincinnati...being that I live just outside of Pittsburgh. LOL I actually like my chili on mashed potatoes. It always has beans and shredded cheese.

Thanks for visiting my blog today. :)

  6. I've never had, or even heard of, 3-ways. But you've got me curious for sure ;) Maybe I'll give it a try?
