Friday Fragments w/ Lots of Pictures

Mommy's Idea

Hubby and I bought each other a Keurig for Christmas and we are so enjoying it.  I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but I like the hot chocolate and love the hot apple cider.  I love getting up in the morning and fixing a hot drink and some toast and jelly for breakfast.  Yummy!  I don't know how I lived so long without my Keurig.  :)

Wednesday we had snow when we woke up and it snowed most of the day.  We relaxed around the house for the morning and then I got a call from work that the software issues had been taken care of.  So I went into work for half a day and did payroll.  Other than that 4 hours I am off for the week.

Worked a jigsaw puzzle Wednesday night.  I haven't done one of these in a long time.

Thursday, Kelli and I went to see Les Miserables.  She loved it, me...not so much.  It was okay.  I like musicals, but in this movie there were probably not more than 10-20 words actually spoken. That was definitely not what I expected.  Plus it was so sad.  Just not my thing.  But as I said, Kelli loved it.

Carolyn came over Thursday night with Carina and we all had so much fun laughing and playing with the baby.  Here are a few pictures.

Isn't she adorable

They were getting ready to take her out to play in the snow for the first time.  I stayed inside and put her a blanket and her pj's in the dryer to warm her up quick when they came back in.

I love this little snow bear!

They were really only outside about 5 minutes.  I love the look on Carina's face.

Look at her reaching for the candy Kelli has in her hand.

You just gotta love these two!  :)

 Beautiful...inside and out!

  2. Beautiful baby!

I wondered about the movie, so I appreciate your thoughts.

Glad you're loving your Keurig. I'd like one of those too. I'm one cup (at a time) of coffee drinker, so it's silly to make a pot, or even a half-pot for me. We got my mom one last year for her b-day, but honestly, I don't think she uses it much.

  3. I love the pics! I hope your Keurig lasts longer than mine did. After mine gave out, we researched and discovered lots of people have issues. But it is wonderful while it lasts! :-)

I totally get your thoughts on Les Mis. The singing dialogue was really annoying for me with the Broadway across America version. Since I was expecting it this time and it was easier to understand, it didn't bother me quite so much.

  4. Our Keurig got a work out when family was in for Christmas. I make my green tea with it & I had about 4 cups in a few hours. The apple cider - YUM!!!!

Yeah - if you dont know what to expect, Les Miz could be surprising. I keep trying to tell the Hubs how there are NO WORDS - just singing, but I dont think he's listening.

Sweet baby. I love those full body covers... wish they made 'em in adult sizes :)

  5. We love our Keurig. We have a smaller one without the water resevoir since it's only used on the weekend. What I don't understand is why they have since come out with a different one that takes different k cups! Cute puzzle, we haven't done any in a long time either. My brother thought the movie was pretty depressing. I think I will wait to see it at home.
Babies are the best, looks like you had a great Christmas.

  6. I don't think I want to see Les Mis. Saw it on stage several years ago. It's just so long and so sad. Give me a happy show! Hope you are enjoying the snow... sounds like there's more on the way!

  8. Very beautiful family :)

Thanks for reminding me that Les Miserables is a musical. I do like musicals, but it's good to know that going in. I saw a movie critic who ripped Les Miz up for the "terrible singing." I'm curious to know what you thought of it. Kyle and I saw Guilt Trip yesterday and loved it.

Kendall's been asking for a puzzle for a couple of years, so I bought her a 1000-piece one this year. We started it yesterday, and I'm enjoying it.

Thanks for linking up! Happy New Year!!

  9. We've got several puzzles waiting to be worked ... I need to open one up and get to work on it. Maybe if I choose one > 1000 pieces we could get it worked before we head south. ;-)

Your girls ARE beautiful ... and I love that picture of them watching Pocahontas with Carina. So sweet.
