If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

Beautiful Morning Skies

The last 2 mornings when I've let the dog out I've noticed the sky. The moon was out yesterday morning and was shining between the branches and I couldn't resist getting my camera out and taking a couple of pictures.

Then this morning the sunrise was beautiful and again out came the camera. Then when I was thinking about showing you the pictures here, God reminded me that there is a verse in the Bible that tells us His mercies are new every morning (just like His skies).

I'm so glad that each morning I can start with a clean slate (or as Beth Moore says a do-over). If I ask Him, in His mercy He will forgive me for my mistakes and bad attitudes, etc of yesterday and He will allow me to start over again. So Lord, thank you for a new and beautiful day.

The faithful love of the Lord never ends!  His mercies never cease.  Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. Lamentations 3:22-23 (NLT)

Hope you have a blessed and wonderful new day in the Lord!

  1. Gorgeous pictures! I love sunrises and sunsets ... I think they're some of God's most beautiful handiwork. I can't wait to take pictures of sunrises and sunsets on our cruise!

  2. We've had some gorgeous sunrises here too, very pink. Yours is beautiful. I think God gives us these skies in the cold bleak gray of winter to remind us we're not forgotten. Have a nice day!

  3. Gorgeous photos and what a wonderful verse. Thank you for sharing it today.

  4. Love the pix. Love your comments too.

  5. Nice! I noticed the sunrise coming up over the mountains this morning. Spectacular!

  6. I take a lot of pictures of sunrises and sunsets. I try to remember to say a thankyou for natures great pictures! Just wondering if you have done any Beth Moore studies?

  7. Beautiful photos. And that's my first verse for the SSMT for 2013. So thankful for each new morning.
