The Simple Woman's Daybook - June Edition

I've been seeing this around lately and decided to join in.  There is a link below, if you'd like to join too.

FOR TODAY - I wrote this Sunday afternoon after church and lunch.

Outside my window...The skies are blue with big white clouds.

I am thinking...about what a beautiful day it is and wondering what my girls are up to.

I am thankful...for a wonderful husband and a day to relax and enjoy being together.

In the kitchen...we didn't cook today, but went to lunch with my sister and her husband.

I am wearing...blue pants and a blue printed top (what I wore to church).

I am creating...crocheting some dish rags.  Plan to work on them later this afternoon.

I am going...to stay home the rest of the day, Lord willing.

I am wondering...if I'll ever get my spring cleaning done.

I am reading..."Crazy Love" by Francis Chan.

I am hoping...to have a wonderful week.

I am looking forward to...some beach time in November.

I am learning...more about the 10 commandments, as we are in the middle of a study on them at church.

Around the house...there's a sweet little baby girl leaving a trail of anything and everything she can pick up and throw down.  haha

I am pondering...something my husband said in his sermon today...God becomes more believable when we become more loveable. In other words, if we are more loving to people, it is easier for them to believe in God.

A favorite quote for today...“When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, 'I used everything you gave me.”- Erma Bombeck

One of my favorite things...My husband

A few plans for the rest of the week:
Attending a 3 hour class about my retirement plan.
Cookout with my family
Going to hear some good bluegrass music.

A peek into my day...Taught Sunday School, Church Service, Lunch with my sister and brother-in-law at Skyline Chili and then a lovely restful afternoon and evening.

I did it...I got my hair cut and I'm so glad I did.
