If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. Summertime is a season of reunions, weddings, and other family celebrations and gatherings...are any of the above on your calendar in the next two months?
I'll be attending a birthday party for little Carina.  She will be 1 year old.  I'm pretty sure there will be pictures posted here.  haha

I can't believe this little thing is going to be a year old in a couple weeks.
 2. June is National Iced Tea Month...are you an iced tea drinker? If so, how do you like yours (sweet, flavored, etc)?
No, I don't care of tea.

3. When were you last nervous? Looking back, was the 'event' actually nerve-worthy?
Every time I go to the doctor for a check-up.  Is it nerve-worthy...no.  But I really hate going to the doctor.

4. The bristle toothbrush was invented in China on June 26, 1498...not sure how that date was pinned down so precisely but, on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being sick to your stomach and 1 being not at all, how nervous do you feel when you're headed to the dentist? Do you see your dentist twice a year?
I'm used to be really nervous, but now that I'm pretty religious about going twice a year, I really don't get nervous at all.  Wish I could be that way about the doctor (see #3).

5. What's making news in your town this week?
Last week RAAM (Race Across America) an endurance bike race came through our town.  That was pretty cool.  This week, I don't really know of anything.

6. Curtains, drapes, blinds...your window treatment of choice? Are there any bare windows in your house? Is that by choice or because you haven't gotten around to covering them?
I have blinds and window toppers in my livingroom and curtains and blinds in the bedrooms.  I have a bare window in my kitchen and I prefer it that way.

7. Summertime is officially here (in the Northern hemisphere anyway)...what one song is a must-have on your summer playlist?
I can't say I have one in particular, but most anything by the Beach Boys makes me think of summer.

8. Insert your own random thought here.
I'm doing this while watching TV with my hubby.  We're watching some shows about Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney World.  I'm about to decide we may need to take another Disney trip this year.  haha  Plus today in my email we got a special offer for Free Disney Dining with additional dates over and above what the public are offered.  Hard to turn it down, but I think we're going to wait until next year. But you just never know.  You know me and Disney!  lol

Disney World
OR

Myrtle Beach
Which one would you choose?

  1. I just love that big huge flower bow-so cute : ) I definitely need a Disney trip, just don't know if it can happen this year. Enjoy your week!

  2. The Disney Cruises are suppose to be amazing. What's not to love about Disney, except maybe the heat and the lines, and the people who think they have to take their toddlers? :)

  3. WOw an rull year old allready, time sure does fly and I'm looking forward to photos of how much she has changed. Can't do both trips? That is a tough call. I think I'll pick Myrtle Beach. I like to walk around a lot.

  4. We watched those same shows about Disney, last night! They made everything look so 'inviting', didn't they? I've always wanted to go to Myrtle Beach. Don't know why we haven't been, it's not that far away from us.

Your 'little one' is precious. They grow up entirely too fast!

  5. I know you love Disney, but I would have to choose the beach. Enjoy celebrating the little one. You know how fast they grow up!

  6. I'd choose Myrtle Beach, just because I love the beach :)

  7. Hard to choose between Disney and the beach. Which is why I think our Florida trip last month was perfect - a week at Disney followed by a week at the beach. ;-)

  8. I'm not a tea drinker either. If you choose Disney, give me a shout out when you're here! : )

  10. Oh gosh, that's a hard choice. We love Myrtle Beach - so much more to do there than just the beach...I would have to say Myrtle Beach :) Can't wait to see birthday party picks of a cute 1 year old!! :)

  11. I'd have to turn both places down. I'm not a Disney fan (and everyone I know thinks I am NUTS because of it) and, living only a couple of hours south of Myrtle Beach, I'm quite aware of their traffic issues---horrendous! I don't know where the time goes! How quickly the year flew by! Can't wait to see the pictures that I KNOW will be posted. LOL

  13. I would choose Myrtle Beach, just because I love the quiet and I'm not a big ride person. I'd probably HAVE to choose Disney because of my kiddos though! Carina is a beautiful name and she's so adorable. Happy 1st birthday to her! Have fun celebrating :)
