Weekend Wrap-up

Friday after work, hubby and I went to Fazoli's for supper and then did our Wal-mart shopping. Then came home and relaxed.

Saturday hubby did a wedding around noon. It was just a small one with maybe about 8-10 people in attendance. I love small weddings. He said the groom was a little nervous, but when he saw his bride coming down the aisle, he teared up. I just think that is so sweet and the very way it should be, big or small wedding.

When he came home he and I went to Outback to enjoy a good meal from our oldest daughter, Kelli. She gave her daddy and I each a gift card for there for Mother's and Father's Day. Yummy! is all I can say.

We then went to my parents and spent a couple hours with them and all my brothers and sisters, except my baby brother and his family. I just love spending time with my family. They are just so fun to be with. Later that evening at home, we all sat out on the back porch while the dog ran around the yard and just enjoyed the wonderful evening breezes.

Sunday was church and a great sermon on the 5th commandment to honor your parents. Hubby did an excellent job, in my oh so unbiased opinion. ;) Then lunch with Tracy's family and also our youngest daughter, Kerri and her boyfriend. Here are a couple of pictures from that lunch.

Then Sunday night we Skyped with Kelli for 2 hours.  It was so good to get to talk with her "face-to-face."  She took us on a tour of her room and then the whole house where she is staying.  She also took us outside and all I can say is, "Wow! What a beautiful view she has!"

As you can see, we had a great weekend around here.  Some good food, time with family and time with both of our girls!  The very best kind of weekend for sure!

So, now it's your turn.  How was your weekend?

  2. Sounds so nice...

I love small weddings too from a photographer's side.
The bigger they get, the more stress filled they are :)

  3. I LOVE Skype! It's kept me close and informed when the lovelies have been traveling or living far away. I'm so grateful for it. It's so nice that your opinion of the husband's sermon is so unbiased...LOL ;)
