Weekend Wrap-Up

Thank goodness, my weekend isn't over yet. I love being surprised with a 3 day weekend. I didn't realize until late Friday that today was Martin Luther King day and that I was off. Total elation! :)

Since it was snowing so much on Friday, hubby and I stopped on the way home and got Chinese. We stayed in all evening and watched shows from Season 1 of Jag and Deep Space 9. He was on his computer some and I was doing some crafting. I finished these 2 headbands for my daughter and her boyfriend.

Also on Friday night, Miss Lucy got ahold of my hook that I use with the loom for making these hats and proceeded to tear up the handle.  She is definitely in the full-out puppy mode now.  Just running from one thing to the next to see what she can get into.

Saturday we relaxed around the house.  I did some reading and napping.  Then we went out to lunch at O'Charley's.  Yummy!  And then ran some errands and came home for the evening.  I made a pot of potato soup and started a new hat and we watched some more Season 1 shows from Jag and Deep Space 9.

Here's a picture of Lucy watching the snow out the back french doors.  See the scratched up wood on the bottom of the door.  That's from Lily scratching when she wanted to go out.  We'll give Lucy a little chance to grow up some and then hopefully we can get that fixed.

Sunday we got up and got ready for church.  We went over and found out the lot was really bad and decided to cancel services.  Sure missed seeing everyone and getting to worship together.  Since we were already out and the roads weren't too bad, we went to Bob Evans for breakfast and then came home and had another relaxing day.  Some napping happened, some watching TV and some crafting and 3 loads of laundry.  Here's the hat I finished.

And now it's Monday and I'm still off.  We slept in a little and now we'll be heading out to meet Charlie and Kerri for lunch.  Then most likely we'll be back home for the day.  We have some housework to do and then back to more crafting for me, I hope.

This may all sound boring to you, but I have so totally enjoyed the chance to be home and spend time with my hubby and my dog.  Hope you all had a terrific weekend.

  1. look at all your crafty beauties!

yep - our rug is ruined from the pulling of threads in our living room... but we're waiting till he's out of his 'stages' before we lay down another one.

  2. Love the headbands and the hat. I know you know this but I always try to leave big rawhide chews around to keep a puppy busy.

  3. It doesn't sound boring at all. It sounds quite like my long weekend. LOL The headbands are great! Tucker has scratch marks on the front door from when he was little. The man took a piece of Plexiglas (or some similar type thing) and put it up. It worked great and saved the door a little bit. :)

  5. We're bracing for a lot of snow today. My dog is a senior citizen, but she chewed up a puzzle piece that fell on the floor this weekend. She may be almost 12, but on the inside she's still a puppy : ) I kind of feel the same!

  6. My personal opinion: the weekends that "seem" the most boring are the ones that I enjoy best ... and I would definitely put yours in that category. Just the right mixture of fun and relaxing time.
