Weekend Wrap-Up

We still have not celebrated our anniversary.  Hubby is not quite up to par yet.  But hopefully, next weekend.

Friday, I left work to go to the ATM and pick-up some lunch to eat at my desk.  While out, I heard my car make a funny clunking sound.  Scared me to death.  It wasn't the engine, but something under the vehicle.  I called hubby and he came to where I was and he could hear it (although, it wasn't making as much noise then, of course).  Anyway, he followed me to our mechanic's garage.  He checked it later in the afternoon and found out the sway bar had broken.  Don't exactly know what that is, but he ordered it and it should be fixed today or tomorrow.  We went home that evening and ordered in and just relaxed and watched a couple JAG episodes.

Saturday, we took Lucy to the vet to get her stitches out.  Everything was good and she is done there for a year.  Yay!!  Here's Lucy sleeping for the first time in the bed her grandma and grandpa gave her.

Later that day, we did our Saturday errands and then went home and took a nap.  That evening we went to mom and dad's and visited with the family.  All of us were there except my little brother and his family.  My cousin and his wife came too!  A good time was had by all.  I love talking and laughing with my family.

Sunday, we had 2 good services.  Hubby continued on Sunday morning with his series on forgiveness.  Sometimes that forgiveness is hard to put into practice, but it is a very necessary thing.

Kerri and Charlie came to church Sunday night and then went to Frisch's with us for supper.  It's always a good thing to get to spend time with my daughter (and Charlie too) and catch up on their lives.

Well, that was my weekend in a nutshell!  Now tell me about yours.

  6. Hope your hubby's all better and the weather cooperates for you to celebrate this weekend.

    Glad your fur-baby is okay.

I had a "clunk" like that happen years ago when my kids were little. It turned out the muffler and tailpipe had fallen off and wrapped around the rear axle. Yikes! I couldn't really drive it and I couldn't get hold of anyone (this was before cell phones) so I babied it to the a car lot right next to the store I was at and asked if their mechanic would be able to help me. It took him an hour to get it worked loose and they didn't charge me anything. I was so grateful. :)

Who shows JAG? We used to love that show.

  8. Happy belated anniversary! Hope your hubby gets to feeling better soon so you two can celebrate. I'm so glad I married a mechanic. That way he can worry about the car talks and issues.
