Friday Fragments

Half-Past Kissin' Time

It's time for Friday Fragments again.  Well, actually it was time this morning, but I'm just now getting around to it.  Man, work sure gets in the way of my fun sometimes.  haha  Anyway, better late than never.  Click on the button, which will take you to Mrs. 4444's blog and to the page that gives the directions for Friday Fragments.  After you've read, click home and it'll take you to the current Friday Fragments.  But of course, please read mine and leave some comment love here first.  Thank you!  :)

**  Hubby and I are still looking at vans.  We know what we want, but we are trying to be patient until we get the deal we want.  Sometimes that is not very easy.  I hate being patient.

**  We are also trying to help Kelli find a car.  She has put in a lot of hours this summer trying to save enough to buy her something that will get her to Florida safely and that she'll be able to drive around for a couple of years.  She doesn't want to invest too much, as she will soon have to start paying on her part of the school bills, plus this is the first time for her to be on her own and paying for an apartment, etc. I'm so excited for her and for all she will be experiencing very soon.  I will also miss her dearly.

**  Hubby and I had dinner with Kerri and Charlie Wednesday.  Let me just say, there was major wedding talk and planning going on.  So fun!

**  Kelli and I went to the movies last night in our little local theater.  We went an saw the new Disney movie "Planes, Fire and Rescue."  This was not my favorite Disney movie, but it had it's really cute moments and some pretty good music.  However, we had a great time.  We were the only ones in the theater watching this movie.  We laughed and talked and had a great time.  I mean how often can you take a picture like this and not get hollered at by someone for having your camera on.

**  I've been working on making some more stuff for my Etsy Shop.  I am having so much fun with this.  I haven't sold too much yet, but I have sold and that's exciting.

**  Heading out for dinner with hubby tonight.  I asked for pizza.  We have a really good pizza parlor about 15-20 minutes from us that I really love.  Can't wait.  We may even go and look at some vans.  Who knows?

Well that's all for now.  Hope you all have a great weekend.

  1. The wedding planning is exciting. I'm glad you've had time with your daughter too, and wish her luck finding a car. It is fun to see them becoming full fledged adults : )

  2. Good luck to both you and your daughter as you shop for cars...always an experience, lol. It is satisfying of course as your children become full fledged adults and take up their spots in life, but hard for us mama's at the same time. I soo get those feelings. And wedding planning is right up there at the top of some of life's best moments! ENJOY ENJOY ENJOY! Oh, and enjoy your week-end too! I loved Fire and Rescue. Or maybe i just loved watching my little buddy at the movie!

  3. I am so blessed to have a husband that works at a car dealership. Every two-years or so he brings a new one home for me, which usually upsets me because I bond with them.
Good luck in your search. To get the best deal on a car, shop on the last day of the month.
Weddings are so much fun and stressful but mostly fun:)
    Have a great weekend.

  4. Parenting is so full of those mixed emotion times ... and you're getting ready to face one of those when Kelli goes to Florida. {{hugs}}

Good luck on the van shopping ... I hate shopping for cars and since my requirements are minimal, I let DH do most of it (I think he rather enjoys it). I trust him to get a good deal ... it took 4 months for him to negotiate the deal for his new car!

  5. What an exciting time for your daughter, getting out on her own. It's probably a little scary too but it's amazing how it all just seems to work out if you do a little careful planning.

  7. I enjoyed 'catching up' with you through your Friday Fragments. Car shopping is so stressful, that's why I don't want to think about it--yet--I'm not a patient person either! I can't imagine shopping for two, at one time! I hope you're able to find the van you want, and the car for your daughter for the price(s) you want:)
I'll have to remember Doreen's advice about shopping on the last day of the month!
