Weekend Wrap-Up

This has been a good weekend. Friday night after work hubby and I came home and ordered supper in. It was so cold that day that all we wanted to do was just be home. It was a good evening. We had our dinner and then hubby went in and played with his computer. I mostly watched some TV and played on my iPad and then went to bed early.

Rebecca Jo at Knit By God's Hand has been talking about watching the old TV show "Gilmore Girls". I had seen a few episodes here and there and always sort of liked it, but just had never watched it that much. Anyway, I decided to give it a go this weekend. I must say, I'm really enjoying the first season a lot. I think I've watched the first seven shows so far. It's pretty good and very funny.  Thanks Rebecca for reminding me of this show.

Saturday our puppy got us up early. We got cleaned up and just stuck around the house doing some things. Later we went to lunch at a Chinese Buffet we just recently learned about. It was really good. We then ran an errand and went back home. I did some knitting while watching the movie "The Notebook" for the first time. Oh my, it made me cry. I can't believe I've never seen that before. Then we picked up some dinner and took it to my parents and visited with them for a bit. Then back home and some more knitting.

Sunday we had a great service at church. Then lunch and home for my favorite thing...a Sunday afternoon nap.

I completed two knitted headband/ear warmers this weekend. I should be getting them added to my Etsy shop real soon.  I also finished the book I was reading. This is my favorite kind of week-end. A little TV, reading, knitting, napping and just being with my man.

So, how was your weekend?

  1. I can't believe you've never watched Notebook before either. I have lost count of the number of times that I've watched it ... I cry every single time.

  2. Oh my yes...my kind of week-end and ours was very similar. We (well mainly me, haha) just finished watching all 7 seasons of the Gilmore gilrs. Took several weeks but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Now we have moved on to Blue Bloods...good, but so NOT the Gilmore girls, lol. I have seen the Notebook soo many times I couldn't even try to count it up. Including IN the theater. Loved it. Enjoy your week!

  7. I love the movie 'The Notebook', and, I, too, cry each time I watch it. I've seen seasons of Gilmore Girls for sale, at Big Lots, but wasn't familiar with the show...
