Trust

Day 9 of the 31 Day Writing Challenge with a prompt from 5 Minute Friday. The prompt for today is "Trust."

Is it possible to have a good relationship with anyone without trust? I don't think so. Trust is so very important. If I can't believe that someone is going to be truthful and trustworthy, then I have no desire to be their friend. But I must be trustworthy too for others to want to befriend me. Trust could be one of the most important things needed for a good relationship.

I've learned I can trust my husband always. He has been so faithful and loving and kind. I thank God for him. And speaking of God, I know I can trust Him above all. He has never failed me and He has always taken care of me. I know He has my back and He always will. Philippians 1:6 says " being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

I trust that He will.

  2. Amen to this again......If there is one thing I have figured out in this life it is that the ultimate thing I can ALWAYS trust is that the Hr loves me, He is there for me in the good times and the bad, and without Him I can do nothing at all. Have a wonderful week-end!

  5. Trust is vital! That said, we're human and imperfect. No matter how hard we try, we are eventually going to break someone's trust. We may not mean to, but we will. And someone will do it to us as well. Like you, I find my husband to be trustworthy, but I know he isn't perfect. Like Rebecca Jo, I've nearly been destroyed by people in a church.....I think their betrayals hurt more than most because we expect them to know better. I've learned to look to the Lord as the only One truly trustworthy, who will never fail me and when anyone else is acting that way I count it as an extra bonus.
