It's Thursday and time to be intentionally thankful. Here's what I'm thankful for this week:
-- Rebecca at Knit by God's Hand for hosting Thankful Thursday every week.
-- I'm thankful that God is trying to teach me to pray more and to remember that we are not fighting against flesh and blood, but against satan and his evil forces. After battling a bit with God (because I didn't want to give up my anger because of pride) I finally gave in and a lot of my anger at certain people is starting to leave and I can have compassion on them because I know satan is blinding them to the truth. Now I ask God to open their eyes to see His truth. I'm starting to feel less frustrated and more encouraged. I'm praying I can keep with this and not fall back to old habits.
-- the beautiful skies tonight after work. I took a couple pictures because it was so pretty.
-- at church Sunday, hubby asked us to read these verses each day this week. They have been good to think about. When I read this and see how great God is...how can I not trust Him.
This is my list for this week. What are you thankful for?
It's so hard to let go of anger sometimes when WE feel its justified... but how much more God can do with it when we just give it to Him <3
ReplyDeleteThanks as always friend for linking up with me.
Sooo much to be thankful for....ALWAYS! I have found that when I am especially angry or upset with a particular person that if I begin to pray for them [however reluctantly] God takes that anger from me. NOT easy to do and I usually have to REALLY push myself to begin as I want to be angry I guess. But somehow I guess the two just can't go together. I LOVE that verse! A good one to ready everyday. Happy day!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteHave you read Fervent, the book on prayer by Priscilla Schirer. She opens each chapter with a paragraph that starts "If I were your enemy, I'd...." and then proceeds to lay out everything Satan does to attack us in that area. It helped me see so clearly how active he is in his schemes. He does sit up nights plotting against us.
ReplyDeleteThat sky is gorgeous!
I'm thankful for Rebecca Jo, too. I'm thankful for you as well. :)
The sky is so beautiful. Have a nice weekend. Also I put a Q&A Book from your other post into my cart on Amazon. Have a nice weekend.
