Thankful Thursday

http://www.knitbygodshand.com/2016/01/thankful-thursday-link-up-54.html

It's Thursday and that means it's time to be thankful. If you're looking for something to post today, why not make a Thankful Thursday post and link up with Rebecca at Knit by God's Hand. She's got the linky thing set up every Thursday for us to join in with her in giving thanks to God.

Here are some things I am thankful for:

-- A husband who drives me to work and drops me off as close to the door as he can so I don't have to slip and slide walking in. Then he does the same thing after work.  He is also willing to pick me up for lunch or bring me something at work if I don't want to go out. He is so good to me.

-- I'm thankful God is waking me up every morning before the alarm clock goes off so I can spend a few minutes with Him. Time to read the Word and to pray and to read the First5 devotion. I'm thankful too for all the devotions that are so readily available through apps and the Internet.

--  I'm thankful for this little stinker too.

-- I'm thankful for the laughter that little puppy brings. And also how she shows me a little of what God living me is like. No matter what happens or how long I am gone, she is always thrilled to see me. Jumping all over the place until I pick her up and love on her. I believe Jesus is too. If I get too busy and forget to pray, He's always there waiting for me to come back and He's always glad to see me.

-- And I guess above all, I am thankful for the love and mercy of God. I need Him every day. I'm so glad He is always there ready to forgive and love me. Thank you Jesus.

  1. I think dogs show us so much about God & our relationship with Him... I'm such a dog person so maybe I just read more into it then anyone else :)

What a precious husband. Knowing someone is there to take care of you like that - such a warm feeling!

I need to get up earlier to spend time with God. I do my devotion in the morning at work when I get here but it would be nice to do it before my day started.

Thanks as always friend for linking up.
