Thanksgiving/Christmas

I just read Knit by God's Hand's post and she reminded me of the local station we have playing Christmas music. I was able to get it online so I can listen here at work. Now I'm getting in the mood to decorate. We may have to start this week. I'm really looking forward to Christmas this year. It's going to be sad because Kelli can't come home. But it's going to be fun too with a new grandson. We'll just have to make the best of Kelli being gone and hopefully FaceTime with her.

I know Thanksgiving hasn't come yet and believe me I am very thankful this year, that I am still here and almost through with my treatments. Praising God for that. But I may be doing that thankfulness with Christmas decorations up. How about you? Do you decorate for Christmas before Thanksgiving? If we do, I'll try to post some pictures and I'd love to see your pictures too.

In the meantime, here's another picture of Colton.

Have a blessed day!

  1. Colton = cutie! I don't decorate until the weekend after Thanksgiving. Most people are out shopping but I'm decorating. :) I've been listening to Christmas music since before Halloween. I love it! This is the year two lovelies go to their significant others' family gathering so we'll have a huge oyster roast on New Year's Eve. Next year, everyone will be home so we'll celebrate on Christmas. I'm not sure I love having people going elsewhere for Christmas.

  2. I still love his dark hair!!!
I put my tree up during Thanksgiving week just because I'm on vacation... & Ricky's away so I have all the freedom to decorate how I want ;)

  3. He's just a doll, and I know you're enjoying him. My oldest and her hubs will be staying on the west coast this Christmas too, so we'll also be facetiming Christmas Day. Thankful for technology that allows this! Glad to see you posting and hear you're nearing the end of treatments.

  5. Believe it or not ours is all up. lol We like to do take a few Sat. and work a few hours on all of them so as to not be too overwhelmed. I LOVE Christmas and decorating, and have quite a bit. PLUS my daughter and her family will be here the Monday before Thanksgiving aand will stay for a full week. And there's nothing I am going to do while they are here but love on those babies, lol. And the following week-end is already December and we have something going every week-end of that busy month! Sooo yep, Christmas over here already too. Glad your treatments are coming to an end....and Colton is just adorable. Enjoy the rest of your week!

  6. I'm happy to hear how excited you are about Christmas. A baby changes everything! I better start playing some Christmas music. Because of my knee I feel like decorating may be hard for me, also our daughter will not be home for Christmas. I wanted to skip it but I realize if I do that I may never get back into it so I am pushing forward!!

I have started before Thanksgiving and after. It will probably after this year. Mark is driving Amber, with there stuff, to Montana after Thanksgiving so I have a whole week to myself. Of course Adam is here but seldom home because he is in love :)

Colton is so adorable. Enjoy each moment with him!
