If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Wednesday Hodgepodge

It's time for the Hodgepodge again.  Why not play along?

1. Give us three rhyming words that say something about your Thanksgiving holiday (or your most recent holiday gathering if you didn't celebrate Thanksgiving).
restful - hubby and I took a couple naps
peaceful - both girls had other plans, so it was just hubby and I
tasteful - we did not do the traditional Thanksgiving feast, we did a beef roast and noodles-Yummy

2. When did you last say, 'the more the merrier'? Did you mean it?
I have no idea when I last said this.  But if I said it, I'm sure I meant it

3. What's one piece of advice you'd give someone who is your same age?
Take care of yourself physically and live for Jesus.

4. You're ordering a veggie plate, what four veggies are on it?
Baked Potato, Turnip Greens, Green Beans, Tomatoes if their fresh from the garden

5. Shop til you drop! Did you? Have you ever? Will you between now and Christmas?
I have and will continue to do most of my shopping online this year.

6. What's your favorite chair in your house, and why is it a favorite?
The recliner...I have spent a lot of time in it this year during my illness.  I'm currently not comfortable sleeping in the bed, so for the past couple of months I'm even sleeping in it.

7. Share an early memory of faith, religion, or spirituality.
I was probably about 3 or 4 when mom and dad got saved.  From that point on I have always been in church.  I remember as a kid, I especially loved the music and would sing every word.  I still love the old hymns and music of the church.

8. Insert your own random thought here.

  1. I still cant get over all the hair on that grandson of yours ... he is so cute!!!
I think once you get used to recliner sleeping, you get addicted to it. My dad is like that since his shoulder surgery

  2. Loved all your Hodgepodge, but that pic of Colton is just adorable. Now Pam over at Empty Nest has a girl he should meet! LOL They're two of the cutest babies, no kidding.

  3. That. Face. What a cutie patootie he is! We only had two of our girls here and I missed the other two. Sometimes I think I'd rather everyone be somewhere else OR be here instead of split. I don't know. I'm glad you have the recliner to give you some comfort. It's hard enough to not feel well without having to be uncomfortable on top of it. Take care! Give Colton a little squeeze from me. :)

  5. He's just a cutie pie! And he seems to like the camera-so photogenic : ) Hubs picked collard greens from our daughter's in-laws garden, stripped and cleaned them, and cooked an enormous potful for Thanksgiving. They are one of those foods that cooks down, but somehow multiplies! I could easily sleep in our recliner too. I'm glad you have a comfy spot for recovery.

  7. What a cutie your grandson is! I've slept in our recliner when I had a treatment for my vertigo and needed to stay semi-upright. It was comfy. Glad you had a relaxing Thanksgiving and got a good nap in :)

  8. Well, what an adorable little boy! We've had quiet and restful Thanksgivings in the past but this year was not one of them. We had lots of noise. :o)) Praying you will feel good during this Christmas!
