2.  Time to watch Santa Clause 3 and do some crocheting.

3.  Another beautiful early morning sky.  This one is from my back porch.

4.  This sweet, spoiled puppy.

5.  This sweet, spoiled grandson.  This kid totally has me in love with him.

6.  How could I not love this little face and be so very thankful for him.

7.  I'm so very thankful for this man!  I can't even imagine life without him.

I am so blessed.  What are you thankful for?

It's Tuesday Morning

It's Tuesday morning and the 4 day weekend is over. I'm sitting at the table typing this and eating my oats..  Back to work I go in just a few minutes. I'm almost dressed, my lunch is packed, I've done my morning devotions, so I'm about ready.

We had a nice Christmas. It was different, but nice.  Neither girl was able to come home for our traditional morning gift giving.  We had to mail Kelli's gifts to her because she couldn't come home at all.  Kerri had to work but she got to come to grandma's later in the afternoon where we got to spend some time with her and Colton.  That was very good.   Then we got to FaceTime with Kelli while at Grandma's, so she got to see and talk to everyone. And that was very good.

So Christmas was different and weird but it was still good.  Hope you all had a good one.

I better get to work.  Talk to you soon.

Wednesday Hodgepodge

Click the button above to join in with Joyce for the Wednesday Hodgepodge.

1. What's left to be done on your Christmas to-do list?
Wrap a few gifts and then enjoy!

2. The Hodgepodge lands on the first day of winter this year. What's your favorite thing about winter?
I love snow and all that goes with it, as long as I can watch it from inside my nice warm house.

3. In what area of your life are you immature? Feel free to elaborate or not.
In thinking I need to have the last word and that's all I'll say about that.

4. What was the most (or one of the most) important lessons you learned in 2016?
That there is nothing I can do but trust Jesus.

5. It's Fried Shrimp Day...are you a fan? What's your favorite way to eat shrimp? Will there be shrimp somewhere in your holiday feastings?
I love fried shrimp.  I love it fried or grilled best.  Well, I hadn't planned on it, but now that we've talked about it, probably yes.  I can see a trip to Red Lobster coming up.

6. What sound lulls you to sleep?
The sounds of waves on the beach.

7. What one word best describes your 2016?
Quite frankly...scary...describes 2016.  But God is still good even and maybe especially during the scary times.

8.  Insert your own random thought here.
Monday was Gotcha Day for our puppy.  We've had her for 3 years.  While she can be very aggravating sometimes, I love this little girl.

Merry Christmas to all who pass by here.

It's Monday

It's Monday and For the first time in a while it makes a difference. I went back to work today and actually worked the full shift. Didn't know if I'd have the stamina to do a full shift. But I did it. Not sure if I'll be able to do it tomorrow, but I'll try. And they are so good to me at work and say work if you can, but don't overdo. I am so blessed to have this job. I am so glad to finally be back.

I see the oncologist Friday and find out what's next. I believe it may be tests and if all still clear, it'll be a maintenance plan.

Thank you God for seeing me through and thank you to all who have prayed and sent words of encouragement to me. That has helped more than you know.

3.  I'm thankful for my husband who has walked each step with me this past year and I know he will keep on walking with me.

4.  I'm thankful for a warm bowl of oats and a cup of hot chocolate for breakfast this very cold morning.

God is so good to me and I am so thankful to know Him.

So what are you thankful for today?

Wednesday Hodgepodge

Time for the Wednesday Hodgepodge.

1. Are you more task oriented or people oriented? Elaborate.
I don't know. I'm a little of both.

2. December 15 is National Wear Your Pearls Day...do you own/wear pearls? If you're a man answering the question, does your sweetheart own or wear pearls? Everyone share a 'pearl of wisdom' with us here today.
I have a seed pearl bracelet. My mom gave it to me to wear at our wedding. I don't wear it often but I love it.

Pearl of wisdom:  "Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight.  Extend to them all the care, kindness, and understanding you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward  Your life will never be the same again."  Og Mandino

3. Speaking of pearls...oysters? Are you a fan or not a fan? If you answered yes, tell us your favorite way to eat oysters? If you said no, be honest-have you ever tried one or does just the idea of eating an oyster make you gag a little?
I've never had oysters except oyster stew and I liked that if I remember correctly.

4. Time Magazine has named President-elect Donald Trump Person of the Year. Let's take presidents and presidential candidates out of the mix for a minute. If a political figure had not been chosen who would you name Man or Woman of the Year for 2016?
Dolly Partin because of all she is doing to help her hometown area people after the fires. And there are so many other things she does for that area.

5. The Pantone Color of the Year for 2017 has been announced, and it's a vibrant green aptly named-greenery. Your thoughts? Is this a color currently in your home or wardrobe? Will you add something in this shade for the new year? Click here to see the color.
I like the color well enough, but not sure I'd use it in my home.

6. Today I've had too much________________________.
Snow...I'm ready for spring now.  This picture is from my back yard yesterday and while I think it's pretty, I've seen enough and am ready for no more snow.  lol

Our little town is rather pretty in the snow too

7. Share a favorite lyric from a favorite Christmas carol.
Probably the line in the song, "Mary Did You Know" that says "when you kissed your little baby, you kissed the face of God."  What a wonderful thought!

8.  Insert your own random thought here.
Sharing a couple pictures from the week.  I "stole" these from my daughter.

I think he may have more hair than I do! lol

Thankful Thursday

http://www.knitbygodshand.com/2016/12/warmth-in-various-forms-dead-car.html
It's time to be deliberately thankful. Click the button to link up with Rebecca at Knit by God's Hand. Here are some things I'm thankful for this week.

1.  My burns from radiation treatment have finally healed enough that they've started me back for my final four treatments.  I should not burn again (thank you God).  Did one today and just 3 more.  My last one should be Tuesday.

2.  My hair is growing back.  It's got a lot more white in it than it used to and it's also a lot darker than it used to be.  Still just as straight as ever.  It's still really short and most of the time I wear a hat when out in public.  Although today, I did go out today to a restaurant and to Kohl's with no hat.  Trying to work up the courage to do that all time time.  I'm really tired of the hats.

3.  I'm thankful the plumber came today and fixed my clogged kitchen drain.  So nice to be able to use both sides of the sink and the dishwasher again.

4.  Hubby and I went to a Christmas Light Display last week in Cincinnati.  It was a lot of fun. Plans are to go to another one tonight in Middletown  Hope I can get some better pictures this time.

6.  I'm glad to have my Etsy Shop up and active again.  If you're interested there is a link in my sidebar.
