My Weekend

Hubby and I had a really nice weekend.  Saturday we picked up Colton at 7:00am (and by the way, that is just too early to be up on a Saturday morning...haha).  His mommy was worked and she needed a babysitter.  After we picked him up we decided to go to Cracker Barrel for breakfast.  He slept through the whole meal.

Just look at that face!
We took him to our house for awhile and then later we went and visited with my sister so she could spend some time with him.  He loved all the attention he was getting.

His mommy took him to the zoo that evening and she said he was mesmerized by all the lights and dancers and things going on.,  Isn't that just the cutest tiger face you've ever  seen.

That evening hubby and I stayed home and watched another Harry Potter movie.  We've only got 2 more to go and then we'll have to find another movie marathon for our Saturday nights.

Sunday we had 2 great services at church and we went to lunch with Tracy's family.  We went to Moe's.  Hubby and I had never been there before, but it was pretty good.  I'm sure we'll be back again.

So that was my weekend.  What did you do?

  1. I havent been to Moe's in the longest time. I need to go there for lunch one day.
Ahhh - I feel that little man. I'd want to sleep too that early, especially being all snuggled in that seat with a blanket all tucked around me.

  2. My girls like Moe's. I'm just not a huge fan of Southwestern food since I have such a boring, bland palette. That little Colton just keeps getting cuter and cuter. How is that even possible? :) Glad y'all had such a great weekend! I worked on coasters and note cards all weekend. But it was fun. :)

  3. How nice he slept through your breakfast : ) You're fortunate to be so close and able to help out with childcare. I am hoping my daughter and her husband's next assignment is east of the Mississippi!

  5. What a lovely way to spend your weekend...but yes, 7:00 a.m on Saturday is a bit much! But, getting to spend such lovely time with your grandson makes it worth it all, right? Our weekend was good, but to be honest, right now I can't remember what we did on Saturday...I guess we just stayed home...oh we went to the local flea market, and I didn't buy a thing! Sunday we have church...a Home Bible fellowship in our home...and that is always a highlight for our week. The guys watched the superbowl at night...I went to bed,but got back up when I heard they were in overtime, so watched the ending! Wow! What an ending it was! We were happy, although we would have been happy with either team winning...but really loved the NE comeback. That was amazing...(and I don't really like football all that much...,but in a house full of men...you know...) Have a blessed week...
