Go here if you'd like to participate in Five Minute Friday. FMF is where you write for 5 minutes about the prompt. Come on it's fun.
Prompt: Future
Would you like to know the future? I don't think I would. If I knew what my future holds, I'd probably be scared to death or I might just give up. However, living day to day you just face it as it comes. Besides, I know who holds tomorrow, and He'll let me know what I need to know, when I need to know it. He already knows what that future is and He knows what I need to do. If something bad is going to happen, I don't really want to know. If something good is going to happen, it might take away some of the joy if I knew ahead it was going to happen. See, sometimes surprises are really nice and fun. God, I trust you to know the future and guide me and let me know what I need to know when I need to know it. One thing I do know abut the future is that God has won and the Devil has lost!! That's good enough for me.

ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteWow! All good stuff...this is a 3 in one home run!! Loved your thoughts on The FUTURE...isn't is wonderful to KNOW WHO holds the future? So comforting! Great pictures...I'll bet that dog was in BIG trouble! That little bird looks like he's still getting his big boy feathers...really cute...and I love the goat. Always watching the sky...it's always changing...and so lovely. Praise God for His creative designs, new every day!
ReplyDeleteYes, she was definitely in some trouble. There were a bunch of goats there. They were so fun to watch & pet.
DeleteI loved your photos, especially the sunset. And your thoughts on future are great too. Even though I often want to be in control and sometimes think I would like to know the future I think we are better not knowing and trusting that God will show us what we need to see in his time. Glad to be your FMF neighbour today!
ReplyDeleteHi Lesley. So nice to "meet" you. Thanks for your kind words.
DeleteOh so true about the future. There have been things that I would have given up, however, there were also things that had I known, would have given me great hope. But we have to trust, don't we? I love cloud and sky pics too, and sweet little animals. Our son's dog left us some prizes like that several years ago.
ReplyDeleteThank you. You should join up with SkyWatch Friday too.
DeleteLoved what you had to say about 'future' and loved all your pics too. All I know for sure is God holds my future in His hands, that's enough for me!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary. It's enough for me too.
DeleteRuh-roh!
ReplyDeleteI don't know about you, but I can't snap enough sky pictures! I'm going to have to participate in Skywatch Friday!
You really should Mary. It's a lot of fun!
DeleteI had to giggle at the neighbors doggy problem. What would life be without little catastrophes like this.
ReplyDeleteLovely photographs. And I too am glad God has the future in His hands.
It really was so funny Annie and I think maybe she did get in trouble.
DeleteGreat fotos today....thanks so much for being faithful to link up with FFF. HOPE you have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks Debbie
DeleteHi Cathy! Thanks for the constant reminder that God has us in these moments and knowing the future wouldn't be everything we think it would be! So true...
ReplyDeleteThanks Amy. Have a great weekend.

DeleteI imagine that I wouldn't want to know the future either. Love your photos and I always enjoy a lovely photo of the sky.
ReplyDeleteThank you Debby.
DeleteI love your big ole fat fluffy clouds.
ReplyDeleteThanks Yogi
DeleteThank you Felicia
ReplyDeleteCathy, Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment on my blog, yesterday. I've been so slack in blogging, lately, and I'm sorry I haven't visited you sooner.
ReplyDeleteI loved your "Friday Thoughts", and I agree. I don't want to know the future either. It's enough to know Who holds it.
Your pictures were so beautiful. I can tell you take joy in life around you. There's something about battling serious illness that makes one stop and appreciate "the little things" more. Praise God for the little things (and the big ones, too)!
Enjoy the rest of your week,
Kathy (Reflections)
Thank you do much! Great lesson!
