Five Minute Friday and Friday Foto Friends

Five Minute Friday is where we are given a prompt and you write for five minutes on your blog and then go here to link up.  Why not join us this week?

Today's prompt is:  place

The place I love to be the most is the beach. I don't necessarily need to be on the beach, although I do love to walk up and down the beach collecting shells. But as long as I have a balcony overlooking the beach I am content. It just brings me peace and makes me think of God. It is just so massive and beautiful and continuous. I feel almost the same when looking at the night sky. Just thinking how big it is and how small I am, yet God loves me anyway. So that is the place I love to be and hope to be visiting this fall sometime.

I'm also joining in with Friday Foto Friends.  You can click here if you'd like to join.  Since I wrote about the beach above, I thought I'd show a few of my pictures from previous trips.

  4. Those are beautiful pictures of the beach and the sunrise and sunsets. I would love to be on a nice beach, and step a little into the water, but I'm not much on getting in. I've had some bad experiences.

    1. I'm not a strong enough swimmer to go in the ocean. Wading is the most I'll do..

  5. Oh, yes! I enjoyed your visit to the beach. You do just what I like to do...sit and enjoy, or walk on the beach early in the morning and then again in the evening. I love to get up early enough to watch the sunrise on the ocean...such a grand event! Yes, I think that is a lovely "place" to be. I only live about an hour away, but we rarely get there. I think I'm about due for a trip. Thank you for this lovely reminder!

  8. Loved these pictures, Cathy!

Here in rural New Mexico, we have a tremendous night sky, and it does indeed put in mind of the Mystery of the Almighty.

  9. The beach is one of my favorite places, too. The other one is the mountains. I joke that the perfect home would have the ocean in front and mountains in back. LOL
