Wednesday Hodgepodge

It's Wednesday so that must mean it's time for the Wednesday Hodgepodge  If you'd like to play along after reading here, just answer the questions on your blog and then click on the button above to go visit Joyce and link up there.  You will love meeting all the nice people that participate in the Hodgepodge.

 1. When you think about your future what do you fear most? Hope for the most?
Will I know when it's the right time to retire.  That we'll have many years to enjoy retirement and have good health during those years

2. September is National Chicken Month. How often is chicken on the menu at your house? What's a favorite dish made with chicken? What's something you're a 'chicken' about doing or trying?
Not often at the house, but quite often when we eat out and I eat it for lunch at work quite often too.  Most favorite is chicken and dumplings.  But I really love chicken fixed most any way.  I'm chicken about speaking in front of people.

3. What are three things you don't own but wish you did?
I'm pretty content with what I have.  But maybe a winter home on the beach.  Can't think of much else.

4. Would you rather be a jack of all trades or a master of one? Elaborate.  If you answered one, which one?
Jack of all trades because I think that would make you a more rounded person.  But if I could master one thing, I would want it to be playing the piano.

5. Ketchup or mustard? On what?
Ketchup - love it on hotdogs and hamburgers

6.  Insert your own random thought here.
I love my grandson so much.

  1. What a sweet grandbaby!
Playing the piano is a worthy goal :)
I'm with you on the beachfront home, but it seems a little dicey at the moment with all the hurricanes!

    1. Thank you. We kinda like him. lol I play the piano, but I'd truly like to master it. You're right, with the hurricanes, it would be rather scary.

  2. Good grief, Colton is growing so fast. What a cutie he is. Knowing when to retire is my husband's problem too, I think. :-)

  3. Playing the piano is my choice of what I would love to master, but doing what it takes to make that happen is another story! Burgers and hot dogs - same answer as me. I love our grandkids, too. Yours is adorable.

    1. Thank you. Grandkids are just the greatest! I play piano, but I was never willing to do what it really takes to master it.

  5. ahhh - I know you love him. He's such a cutie.
Funny you dont like speaking in front of people - I bet your hubby is a pro at it though, isnt he? Always takes a balance. I'm the speaker in our family while the husband would rather have his toe nails ripped out

  6. My husband is really good at it. But what is so funny, he is an extremely introverted person unless he is speaking about the Word of God! I believe it is a gift from God.

  7. Good afternoon, Cathy~

Your grandson is simply ADORABLE! It is so easy to see how much you love him.
I would want to learn to play the piano as well. Such a beautiful sound....I could listen to it all day!

  8. I always wanted to play the piano and have tinkered with it in recent years. Much as I would love to be, I'm just not musical. My girls and husband are and I'm glad they got his genes in that area : ) Your grandson is a cutie. They just keep getting to be more and more fun, don't they?

  9. I think you'll know when it's the right time to retire. Things have a way of working out.
You know, our son was always terrified of public speaking (he once took a zero rather than do it)...and now he stands up and preaches weekly. Who knew? There may be hope for you, yet :)
Your little grandson is getting so big. Time slow down!!!
I'm pretty much satisfied, too, but that condo on the beach sure would be nice, wouldn't it?
