If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. Speaking of endings....at your wit's end, at loose ends, a dead end, burn the candle at both ends, all's well that end's well, or no end in sight...which 'end' phrase might best be applied to your life lately? Explain.
No end in sight. Some days I feel that way about work. Probably going to work longer than I planned. Really I don’t mind though. Maybe next year...who knows?

2. What was a must have accessory when you were growing up? Did you own one? If so tell us what you remember about it.
Curlers...when we were little it was the pink sponge curlers. When older it was brush rollers which really hurt to sleep in. There were perm curlers cause I got perms a lot. So glad to have short hair now and no more curlers or curling irons.

3. Something that made you smile yesterday?
Watching and talking to my grandson on video-chat.

4. January 30th is National Croissant Day. Do you like croissants? Sweet or savory? We're having chicken salad for lunch...would you rather have yours served on a croissant, a wrap, a bagel, bread, or a roll of some sort?
Yes, I like croissants. Both sweet and savory. I’d eat the chicken salad on a croissant for sure.

5. Sum up your January in fifteen words or less.
It’s been a nice relaxing month for the most part.

6.  Insert your own random thought here.
Working on a scarf for my Etsy shop.

  1. Curlers! I had huge curlers to try to straighten my long wavy hair! Thank goodness I have short hair now too. Those curlers were at least 3" in diameter and it's a wonder I didn't wreck my neck sleeping on them!! How fun for you to video chat with your grandson!

  2. Oh yes whatever would we have done without our curlers? And my teasing brush and hair spray? Lol. And yep, face time talking with a grand really just can’t be beat! Have a good week!

  3. I remember those curlers as a kid! I had them too. I'd be into them now actually. I loved those things.

  4. How well I remember sleeping in those curlers! They were painful. I was thrilled when electric curlers were invented :)

  5. My cousins and teenage sisters of my friends had all those curlers. I wore my hair short for the most part and if it was longer, it was in a pony tail or pig tails. You just can't go out and climb trees and play football with the boys if your hair is all curled. LOL How's Colton doing? Won't it be wonderful when he's old enough to come visit for a week or so? I remember doing that with my grandparents and it was wonderful! My girls did it with my dad and step-mom every summer. Everyone loved it.

  6. I think not having to use the curlers was the only benefit of having curly hair when I was younger, but apart from that I always wanted straight hair - I guess we always want what we can't have.
Have a lovely weekend and enjoy your knitting.

  7. I remember sitting under the big hair dryer on Saturday nights. We always had to wash our hair on Saturday so it would look nice for church. I loved my electric rollers a decade later. Enjoy your weekend!
