Thankful Thursday

It's time for Thankful Thursday again.  I'm so thankful to Rebecca for keeping this going every week.  I need that to help me remember to look back on the week and see all the good things God has allowed in my life.  Click here if you'd like to participate or just if you want to read what others are thankful for.  It can be very encouraging.

As I said in yesterday's post we took Lucy to be groomed on Monday after work (and they did an awesome job) but they also found out that the dew claw on her left back leg had grown around and was into her pad.  Thankfully, they called me right away and let me know and I was able to call the vet and get an appointment for her on Tuesday.  Turned out it really hadn't pierced her pad but it was getting close, so he took care of it for us.  He said it didn't phase her at all.  She never acted like she was having any trouble walking or anything, so we never realized there was a problem (you can bet I'll be watching this in the future).  While she was there he also expressed her anal glands and took care of that issue for now (this is something she has to have done every so often) and he gave her an antibiotic shot just to be sure all is okay.  I love her vet (he is the son of the vet we have used for years) and both of them are awesome because they take time to explain things and tell you how she is doing and seem to really care.  So all that said, I'm thankful for the groomer, the vet and that Lucy is doing well.

Later on Monday evening I was in the dining room and notices the beautiful sky out the back door.  I took a couple of pictures, but they never really do it justice.  But I'm so thankful that God displays his creation so beautifully and gives me opportunities to see it, even through my dirty patio door.  lol

I'm also very thankful for my grandson and getting to talk to him on video.  I know I say that on here pretty often, but he is becoming more and more chatty and it's just so fun.  I'm posting a couple of pictures here after his haircut on Saturday.  I just feel so very blessed to have him and that his mommy is so good about calling and sending pictures and keeping us up-to-date on his life.

So there are a few of the things I'm thankful for this week.  God is so good to me and I never want to fail to thank Him.  I hope you are having a great week and thank you for visiting me here in blogland.  Oh and that's another thing I am thankful for...all my blogging friends.

Have a blessed day!

Cathy

  2. Your little man's hair cut!!!! He looks SO GROWN with that!!!
OH MAN - I need to look at Zoe's dew claw! She always has walked funny but is having a harder time - she's the one that the groomer refused to do her any longer so we have to groom her at home - I need to take a closer look to her nails & see if something could be growing into her pad!

  5. Thank YOU for sharing all of this with us. It helps us to remember the things for which we are thankful as well. I love your cute little pup, she is adorable, and then your cute little grandson is even more adorable...well, they are both pretty special in their own way! You are blessed! Love the evening skies. They have been pretty awesome here lately too. So much to praise God for if we just take the time to listen and look and realize!!
