Half-Past Kissin' Time
It's time for SkyWatch Friday and also Friday Fragments.  Click here to join in with SkyWatch Friday and click here to join with Friday Fragments.  They are both fun and you won't regret playing along.

*RAAM 2014: Have you ever heard of it. RAAM is Race Across America which is a bike race. It starts in California and ends in Maryland and it goes right in front of our church. There are single riders and team riders. One of the teams is 8 riders from Britain called the Michael Matthews Foundation. Two of the riders are Pippa and James Middleton, brother and sister to Princess Kate. Anyway, hubby and I have been following the race some and found out their team would be passing this evening, so we went to watch. Of course, only one is riding and it just had to be raining, but I did get a picture of the rider. It appears to be a male but I couldn't tell who it was. But here's my picture.

  4. What a lovely sky! I love how Grandma Barb described the clouds - puffy and popcorn :) That will motivate me to go watch Grace of Monaco or Chinese Puzzle this weekend.

    1. I imagine they have hit all kinds of weather in their travels across the country, but I was a little disappointed in not being able to get a better picture. But there are a bunch more coming in today. I may or may not be able to catch one of them. Who knows!! Hubby got a pretty good picture of one earlier yesterday before the rain.

  9. So Pip & James weren't riding because of the rain???
MS has a couple of friends who did a ride across America to benefit their fraternity's philanthropy. Wonder if it's the same thing?

    1. I heard Pippa was riding in Indiana yesterday, so it probably just wasn't her turn when she came by here. And it may have been James. I have not idea, but I do think it was a man.

  11. Those bikers went through these parts ... about 15 minutes from here, but it was late at night, so we didn't go out to see them. I know Pippa was riding in Missouri, not far from St. Louis, so it was on all the news programs here.

  13. I didn't know about that race. Many years ago our little village sponsored a bike race around our small downtown area. It was interesting to watch.
