Five Minute Friday: Should

Today's prompt is :Should

I should get up and get ready for work. Instead I'm sitting here writing this post on my iPad.  It seems to me that I spend a lot of time thinking about what I should be doing. And then I feel guilty because I'm not doing it. Maybe it's time to quit thinking about it and just do it. But really, who decides what I should be doing except me. So instead of sitting around feeling bad because I should be doing something else. Why not enjoy what I am doing?  Does this even make sense?
Now I've got my post written and no guilt because I enjoyed doing it and now I still have plenty of time to get ready for work.

Have a great day!

  2. So true, it's easy to put heavy expectations on ourselves or let others dictate what we "should" be doing. It's good to have times when we can let go of that guilt and just do something we enjoy. Visiting from FMF#32

  3. Your post made me laugh! It's true though, no one else should decide what we do or when we do it. Sometimes life just doesn't work out that way.

  5. I never have liked those "shoulds"...they are so bossy and critical...and yes, writing your post is one of those things that SHOULD be pleasant time well spent...and it is, because we reap the benefit thereof!! So thank you for taking the time to write down your thoughts and share them with us! That's exactly what you SHOULD have done!! have a blessed weekend!

  6. Yes! It does make sense. I am forever forgetting to enjoy what I'm doing because I'm too concerned with what I should be doing. Thank you for reminding me of that. :)
