It's been a good weekend. On Saturday I slept in until almost 9:00am. I can't even tell you the last time that happened, but it was so very nice. Hubby and I then got cleaned up and headed out. We went to Cowan Lake and just enjoyed the water and geese and ducks and just some quiet time together. It is one of our favorite things to do, to go anywhere where there is water.
Then we ran some errands and came home and enjoyed a quiet evening catching up on some of our shows.
Sunday we had 2 really good church services and met his mom and dad for lunch. Then I got a really good Sunday afternoon nap. I love those the most and think maybe God even intended for us to nap on a Sunday. It is the day of rest, after all. lol
But before my nap, I took the dog out for a mile walk and Kerri called and I got to video-chat with her and Colton for a bit. Of course, Colton didn't talk much because he was playing outside with bubbles at the time, but I got to see his smiling face and hear his little drawn out Hiiieeee! I think he's going to make a really great Texan, as he already has the accent down pretty well.
That's about all I have to share, so how was your weekend?
Cathy
I find myself taking more naps these days and yes I think we should have a nap on Sunday afternoon. I am up most days by 5 A.M. and Saturday morning hubby and I spelt till 7:30, that was the first time in I don't know when.
ReplyDeleteHappy Nap time Cathy!
He is gonna need a little cowboy hat ;)
ReplyDeleteI love you & your hubby like to just go on drives & just enjoy one another's company - you two are precious
Your weekend sounds perfect! I did some house work and tried a few new recipes. Did watch two movies with Mark. We usually do that on Friday and Saturday evening.
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree Sunday afternoons are made for naps. They're the best ones!
