If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

Wednesday Hodgepodge

It's Wednesday and time for the Hodgepodge.  Click the button above if you'd like to join in with us.  Thanks Joyce for another week of great questions.

1. What would you say is your biggest day to day challenge?
Making myself take the time to walk each day and take care of myself.

2. May 16th is National Biographers Day. What's a biography you really enjoyed reading? Is this a genre you read regularly?
I've been reading biographies since I was a kid.  When mom took us to the library, I almost always got biographies on historical characters that were written for kids.  Loved them then and still do.  I'm not sure I could pick a favorite though.  Right now, I'm on a waiting list at my library for one on Dolly Parton.  I read one on Laura Bush that I really liked and I read one that George W. Bush wrote that I really liked.

3. How important is keeping a clean house?
I think it's important to an extent, but I'm not always that good at it.  I remember hearing that when I die, I'll never wish I dusted more, but will wish I spent more time with the ones I love. Do you need to de-clutter your life? I am in the process of de-cluttering even now.  I've got bags of stuff to give away.  I'm getting there, but it's a process and then I'll probably have to start over when I'm done.  lol

4. You're the 8th dwarf. What's your name?
Fluffy (because I'm not fat, I'm fluffy).

5. What's surprised you the most about your life or life in general?
Life is going so fast.  I can't believe I'm 60 and that things can change so very fast.  One day all is good and the next, life is falling apart.  (we're good now, but the past couple of years, so much happened and changed so drastically so fast).

6. Insert your own random thought here.
Here's the weekly photo.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a wonderful day.

  1. I have got to get back on some sort of schedule with walking and taking care of myself. I love biographies, too and that statement about starting all over again after you de-clutter? YES! That's exactly what happens. LOL Life and change is fast. And lately it seems every time I turn around there's a kid with bad news. That picture. He's so cute.

  2. Oh I totally know what you mean about how quickly life can turn. A reminder to be grateful for this day and this moment. I am off track with an exercise regimen too, and really need to get back on top of that. Routine is difficult here lately. Have a happy Wednesday!

  3. I agree and everyone else seems to also about how quickly time flies. I need to walk more often, too. Have a great day, Fluffy! That is so cute!

  4. I didn't do the Hodgepodge today since I posted about the teacup exchange and I really miss it! I have learned a lot about Dolly Parton but I have never seen her autobiography...I'm sure I would really enjoy it. Your other answers are all very similar to how I would answer the questions. Enjoy the rest of your week!

  6. I didn't think of "Fluffy" or I'd have chosen that as my name, too :)
You are so right, life is going by quickly and circumstances can change in the blink of an eye.
Dolly Parton is quite a character, and she writes just like she talks!

  7. Exercise is a great answer. Way to go on working on de-cluttering things. I have a friend who calls herself fluffy. I think that's cute! I hear you on becoming 60. I'll be 67 this year and I still haven't accepted turning 60! Love your random.

  8. It is quite the challenge to take good care of yourself every day, especially when all you want is a big bowl of ice cream!

  9. Finding time to walk is my biggest day-to-day challenge as well. I've not been doing as good as when it was the first of the year!
