If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

My Weekend

My weekend was very quiet.  Got off work on Friday and stopped by my sisters and she brought out some crochet straps for me to finish by putting on the buttons.  I had 10 at home I had made and she made another 10, so that's 40 buttons for me to sew on.  I did my 10 Friday evening after supper (hubby had put a chuck roast on in the slow cooker before work...delicious).

Saturday morning I watched Pixar's Onward and sewed the buttons on the last 10 straps.  Onward seems to be a favorite of my grandson right now, so I wanted to see what he was watching.  I really enjoyed it and would recommend it if you haven't already seen it.

After finishing the buttons, I got cleaned up and we dropped off the face mask straps to my sister so she could turn them in to her ladies' group to donate with the masks being made.  I thing we are finished with making the straps now.  My sister made well over a 100 and I thing I probably made about 75-80.

Hubby then dropped me off at Wal-mart and I ran in and picked up a few things we needed and some stuff for my younger sister in assisted living as she is not allowed to get out at all right now.  Hubby and I then did a curbside pick-up at Noodles and Company and then dropped the stuff off at the door for my sister and we were back home for the day.

Sunday we got up and went to church and hubby did his live FB online broadcast.  I think that went really well.  Then again got some curbside service for lunch and we were at home the rest of the day.  I tried to take a nap, but got a video call from my youngest and enjoyed playing with my grandson.  He is a hoot on the phone.

Then I got settled back in for a nap and the dog decided she needed to go out.in.the.rain!  Oh well, nap time was done for me!  So instead I started a jigsaw puzzle.  I've been wanting to do one ever since this close-down started, but I needed to spend the extra time on crocheting those straps.  Anyway, it's a really neat looking puzzle.  It's a Thomas Kinkade Disney Puzzle.  I'm really enjoying working on it.  Here's a picture of the one I'm doing.

So that is pretty much my weekend in a nutshell.  As I said in the beginning it was very quiet...just the way I like them.

  1. I'm so glad you get to spend time with your grandson online! That has to be the highlight these days. I have a couple of puzzles I could do, but they are 1000 pc ones and the pieces are soooo small. I really have to strain my eyes to work on them so I just don't. Why can't they make them with normal sized pieces? Anyway, have a blessed day!

    1. It really does help to get to talk to him. I try not to do them with more and 500 pieces, but I couldn't resist this one.

  2. Love Thomas Kinkade! … But not so sure I've the patience to work a jig-saw that size. Now you've got my mouth watering for chuck roast in the crock-pot; I'm going to put that on my WM shopping list.

  4. Wow, that sounded kind of busy to me, but then, I am retired, and I don't have to try to do so much after work/weekend,etc. Thank you for your work on those straps/buttons. That was a blessing for those who need them. That puzzle looks like a fun one to do. I haven't done one in a long time...not sure where to set it up where it won't be in the way so that's my excuse for not doing them. You are blessed to spend time online with your grandson. That is something he will always remember! TAke care and try not to work too hard! God bless you.

  5. Each day we were gone about 3 hours or so and then home the rest of the time. That is quiet for me and I totally love it.

  6. You've been busy! I like all the different stories you told us today. The weird situation we are in, I Pray God will resolve it at least for a time. I enjoy my hubby being home one week while work another and doing this for the next month it seems. But the weirdness of it all politically is something we just pray on. Thanks for visiting me although my post was deleted for whatever reason. I recreated it so hopefully it is there there. Have a great week. Take care
