1. This time last year where were you?
June 24, 2019 according to my pictures, I was walking around the pond behind our doctor's office. Evidently hubby had an early morning appointment and I rode with him and took a walk.
2. In honor of National Pink Day (June 23rd) tell us your favorite pink food or beverage. Was it on the menu at your house yesterday? Do you like to wear the color pink? If we came to visit would we find this color in your home decor? Blush-fuschia-salmon-raspberry-your favorite shade of pink?
Favorite pink beverage - Pink Lemonade of course. No, I did not have any yesterday. Yes, I like to wear pink in any shade. My kitchen counters are kind of a pink and gray mix. Of what you listed, it would be fuchsia.
3. Stop and smell the roses, looking through rose colored glasses, a rose by any other name, not all moonlight and roses, no rose without a thorn...which rosy saying currently fits your life in some way? Explain.

Stop and smell the roses, because I'm trying more and more to look for things to be thankful for and to be aware of what God has done for me.
4. Are you a 'reader'? Do you tend to read lighter books in the summer months? Do you have a summer reading list? If so, give us a title or two.
I am a reader and summer or winter I love to read. Probably in the summer I love to read books that take place around the ocean, so if you consider that lighter books, then yes I guess i do. I do not have a summer reading list, I just read whatever I run across that sounds good.

5. Share with us one rose and one thorn from your weekend.
I got to visit with my sister this weekend is the rose and the thorn is that they are mostly still on lockdown and she can't go out at all.

Started and online Summer Bible Study with Kelly Minter on Nehemiah this week.
I did the Nehemiah study a few years back and enjoyed it. It is challenging to stay positive in this season but I’m trying too. Gratitude for things large and small helps.
ReplyDeleteI agree Joyce.
DeleteI love to read books that take place at the beach or cute little mysteries for summer reads. Hope you have a great day! :)
ReplyDeleteHop you have a great one too.
DeleteA good beach-oriented novel...yeah, I could do that...
ReplyDeleteVery fun to read.
DeleteOur Women's Bible study was going to be on Nehemiah, but then Covid happened. I started an in depth study of the Bible on line so it keeps me busy. I really like your background!
ReplyDeleteOur group was doing Finding God Faithful by Kelly Minter when Covid happened. Planning to finish it this fall.
DeleteHow fitting to this post that your blog background has pink roses, so pretty! That should be a great bible study. We heard a series preached on Nehemiah some years back and it was so good. Have a great week :)
ReplyDeleteI know I really enjoy reading Nehemiah.
DeleteOh, I love Kelly Minter! Personality plus! I'd not heard of her until our Bible study gals started watching her All Things New study on Corinthians 2. Beautiful photos … there's something so calming about being near the water.
ReplyDeleteKelly Minter sounds familiar. Wish I could think why. I love your pink roses on your sidebars.
ReplyDeleteI like a good beach themed novel...it's like a vacation when I'm not on one.
ReplyDeleteWe all need to do what you mentioned in #3. It's important to count our blessings, especially in a time of crisis and uncertainty.
ReplyDeleteOH - I cant wait to hear what you think of that study!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. I think you have had the most positive pink answers so far. Way to go on taking the time to smell the roses. It's so sad that the people who are pretty much living in one room can't leave them. Fresh air would do them some good.
