If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. It's fall y'all. What's something you love about this season and also something you don't? I love all the colors and the cooler weather.  I don't particularly like raking leaves (which we really don't have to do anymore).

2. When you think of the colors of fall, which one is your favorite? Is there somewhere you could easily day trip to see the leaves in all their glory? Will you? My favorite color is probably the dark red.  We could easily see beautiful color on just about any back road trip in our area.  Will we do it, probably but it's still too early.  Plus when we head south for our November trip, the leaves are usually gorgeous in the hills of West Virginia.  Below are a couple of pictures in our area last fall.

In our neighborhood

I'm not exactly sure where this one was

3. What's one thing you've let 'fall' by the wayside during this season of staying home and staying away? We let our spring trip to Gatlinburg go, but otherwise we live about the same as always.  We don't eat out near as often either and the majority of the time we do take out, but we do eat in some also, just not quite as often as before.

4. If you're wearing a sweater is it most likely a cardigan, crew neck, v-neck, or zip up hoodie? Definitely a zip up hoodie.

5. What's your secret to dealing with change? No secret.  I just do a lot of praying.

6.  Insert your own random thought here.

Even Covid in 2020 will pass.

  2. The foliage is so pretty. I've lived in Florida my whole life, I've never seen the fall colors in person. Gorgeous!

  3. We are living about the same as you. Other than no traveling and eating out less, life has remained nearly the same (the masks are a new addition) for us. It's only been big events that changed. We answered #5 exactly the same. :)

    1. Yes, we didn't wear masks in the beginning much either. I did travel to Florida but they were very conscientious with everything. Had to have a mask on in airport and temperatures taken before getting on plane and masks on the whole flight. #5 I don't know how people who don't pray get through times like this.

  4. I was telling my hair cutter just this morning, sometimes I forget (about Covid) and think about doing something, or going somewhere. And then, "Oh yeah. Never mind." Praying is always the best recourse.

  5. Perfect quote...I might change it a little to say "And this too shall pass". I know we are all getting anxious for this covid stuff to definitely PASS! I love your fall pictures. We don't have as many pretty fall trees here in Florida, but I am looking at one right now across the pond and it is making me happy. By all means, take pictures wherever you go during this beautiful season. It doesn't last long enough!

  8. And it came to pass...nothing ever comes to STAY. Encouraging words.
    And prayers--for steadiness in change.
The colors are just beginning to change here. I am looking forward to experiencing a real fall for the first time in many many years.

  9. I remember raking leaves in Chicago. Of course when we were kids you would also burn them at the curb. Trees are so pretty when they change color. "Praying", great answer for change!

  10. I feel like raking leaves is a thing of the past. We loved helping my dad with that job when were were kids, but my aching back can't take it anymore. It seems like almost everyone uses paid lawn services now. I am a big fan of fall too!
