If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful:

*  we got to have a face to face visit inside with my sister this weekend.  The assisted living place she lives has opened the doors for scheduled visits. It was good to see her.  Hoping all will stay well so it can continue.

*  hubby and I got to have dinner with his mom last night as this was her first anniversary without her husband.  They would have been married 65 years.  We had such a good time talking and just being together just as we always do.

*  our Lucy who just keeps me laughing and is so comforting, well, when she isn't aggravating me to death.  lol

I mean just look at that sweet little dirty face.

*  our daughter is getting things to come together with her wedding plans.  Two of her girls have had to back out for various reasons and she has gotten two of her other friends that are going to do it instead.  That makes me so happy that she has friends that love her enough to be willing to step up like that and help her out.  She's happy and that makes me happy.

*  that God loves me and I can rest in His hands,.  There is no place I would rather be.

  2. In person visits .. yeay! Baby steps. But I venture to say, 'back to normal' isn't the pipe dream we feared just a few months ago.

  3. I am in California and Covid is bad here so I am not meeting up with anyone right now except my family. Glad to hear the wedding plans are moving along. When is the big day? God is our peace!

  5. I'm glad the assisted living place is allowing visitors again. Very few around here are allowing them and I think that is the hardest thing for the residents. Aw, that sweet little face...how can she annoy you? Ha! I have one curled up beside me. I know exactly how they can annoy! Have a great weekend, Cathy!

    1. Yes it's been very hard for my sister. A lot of them here aren't doing it either. They are keeping a close eye on everything and it could close down again, but we're hoping it won't have to.

  6. Wedding plans are complicated and difficult under the best of times. We are all so reticent to make plans these days, it must be hard to plan a wedding. Hope all continues to go well for your daughter's plans.
We are hopeful that we'll be able to visit my mom face to face once she gets the second vaccine. She has been so lonely. And locked down much of the pandemic in her tiny apartment. Glad you were able to see your sister and enjoy dinner with your mother-in-law.
