Friday Photos

I went out with Lucy for our walk this morning around 6:30 and it was 75 degrees and 94% humidity.  So needless to say, we kept a slow pace but did get our mile in and closed the exercise ring on my Apple watch for the day.  We usually walk a little farther and a little quicker, but in the heat we take it easier.  Anyway, I'm glad I got it done before it gets really hot today.

While we were out I took a few pictures to share with you.  We have some really pretty flowers in our neighborhood and I took a couple pictures of Lucy too.

I think these are the most beautiful flowers
in the neighborhood this year.  That orange is just
 so vibrant!

Monday evening we had storms and there are several
big limbs broken out of the trees like this.
I don't believe there was any severe damage in
our neighborhood but I know some in our area lost electric
for several days. We were blessed and
ours only flickered a couple of times.

They grow these every year on their mailbox.
And I get a picture every year too.  lol

At least she looked back at me for a second
so I could take here picture.

Someone does not like getting her picture taken.

Loved seeing the moon still out in the blue sky.

Well, I'm about cooled off now, so I probably need to get up and get busy soon.  Thanks for visiting.

  1. Beautiful pictures and flowers and Lucy too!! Loved all of the above and the moon. It was beautiful this week. Sorry to see the broken tree limbs. I have a cousin in central Ohio who lost a lot of trees in that storm, but I don't think any buildings/house or people were hurt, praise God! Must have been a powerful storm. So glad you didn't lose power. In this heat that would not be good! Take care and enjoy the rest of your day inside!

  2. Those floral pictures are my very favorite colors! Poor Lucy's expression makes me wonder if she, too, dislikes the oppressive humidity. We had terrific thunderstorms night before last, too -- knocked out our electricity and KO'd several big tree limbs, too. Glad everything came back in time for Tom's daughter's arrival yesterday; being from Phoenix, the humidity's doing a number on her. Stay safe!

  5. Those lilies have been absolutely gorgeous in our area this year, as well. We saw some orange and yellow ones mixed and they were so perfect and pretty that Mom asked the people if they were real. lol The clematis on the mailbox are so pretty. I have tried to grow them, morning glories, and several other things on our mailbox post, but never have any luck. I think it has something to do with everyone that walks their dog in our neighborhood lets their dog use it as a toilet. Oh well. Have a great weekend and you and your sweet pup enjoy walking in this weekend's cooler temps!
