The above scripture is from the story of the Wedding at Cana in Galilee where Jesus did His first recorded miracle. I had never really paid a lot of attention to this particular verse until hubby mentioned it in his sermon on Sunday morning.
"Do whatever He tells you."
You know if we always do this, we will always be in His will. Pretty simple, isn't it! His mama sure had some wisdom.
Thanks for visiting.

When we read a passage that is so familiar to us, it is surprising how much we can gloss over. Read too quickly - and how much we miss. Good wisdom here. Glad you stopped by my blog earlier. Happy Wednesday!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jennifer and you are so right. We really need to pay attention even to the most familiar scriptures.
DeleteIndeed she did! Thank you, Cathy.
ReplyDeleteFor sure
DeleteSo interesting that you should mention this verse just now. My hubby also said this same verse in reference to obedience to Christ...just last night he mentioned it when saying his prayers at bedtime...it had been a part of the Men's Bible Study he led on Monday. God wants us to hear this message about obedience. Thank you for sharing it...and thank your hubby too.
ReplyDeleteI most certainly will tell him.
DeletePretty simple, indeed, and makes total sense!! Great post!! xo
ReplyDeleteThanks Terri
DeleteI love simple sentences in the Bible that pack a punch!
ReplyDeleteMe too.
DeleteIndeed. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome.
DeleteI think I get so busy trying to do things the way I want them done, the way I think they need to be done, that I forget to pray and ask God how He would have me proceed. Great reminder.
