1. What's something you miss about the 1980's? If you're too young to miss the 80's how about the 90's?
Being in my 20's, and traveling as much as I possibly could. Anytime, friends or family were going somewhere & invited me to go, I would jump at the opportunity. Loved that kind of freedom. Didn't owe anything, except car payments.
2. Do you have a library card? If so, how often do you visit?
Yes, I actually have 2 or 3. I don't go much at all now because I have my Kindle. But I have always loved the Library. In fact, the last couple of books I got from the Library, I got online for my Kindle.
3. What's the secret to success?
Listening to God and obeying Him.
4. This is National Backyard Games week...what's your favorite backyard game?
Badminton, although I haven't played in years.
5. If I dropped by today what would I find on your coffee table?
My scrapbooks and wedding photo album.
6. Do you own a bicycle? When was the last time you rode a bicycle? Is that something you enjoy?
No, I don't own a bicycle, although I've considered getting one again. One of the last times I rode, I fell off and tore up my knee. Haven't really ridden much since then. I used to enjoy it. I think I might again someday. I'd like to get a bike like this:
Isn't this just the cutest bike? Love the pink! |
7. What's your favorite cheese?
Mozarella string cheese or American Slices (for sandwiches)
8. Insert your own random thought here.
Hubby just bought me a new battery for my computer. Can't wait for it to charge so I can once again have some freedom with my laptop and not have to stay plugged in. Thank you Dear!
Good Morning, Cathy!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to a library in years. I used to take my girls all the time when they were little. We'd go every week for storytime and had so much fun! Great answer for #3!
I don't go much anymore either because I love reading on my Kindle so much and I have so many free books on it. I'll never get them all read.
DeleteMy mom was a librarian so I have always spent a lot of time in libraries. I still love to be in a library and hope all the electronic books don't signal their demise. I read on a kindle but still like a 'real' book too.
ReplyDeleteMy mom always took us to the library in the summer. She loved to read and definitely passed that gene on to me!
DeleteI'd take that bike!!!
ReplyDeleteYep - the younger years of less responsibility - nice!!!
I think that is the cutest bike and I think maybe I could ride it easier than the mountain bike type my girls have.
DeleteI love, love, love that bike! So cute! Just like your new background! When I was little, I wanted to be a librarian ... I thought I could just sit there and read all day. ha!
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to work in a little book shop. I love reading!
DeleteWhat a cute bike! I think somewhere in their storage shed, my mom still has her bicycle from her childhood. It's a big, clunky thing, but I thought it was fun to ride.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day, and take some time for reading. :)
I'm trying. I'm currently reading "A Promise to Remember" by Kathryn Cushman.
DeleteLove the picture of the bike! I use to have one with coaster brakes that I loved but I don't think they make them anymore. Love the answer to #3! Great answers. This was fun.
ReplyDeleteCoaster brakes were the best. I was never afraid that I'd flip over the front of the bike because I used the wrong brake haha
DeleteLaptop batteries can be such tricky things! Congrats on getting a new one. I could do with a new one myself.
ReplyDeleteI love being able to take my laptop anywhere I want without the cord. Hope this works. I'm trying it out now. We'll see how long the new battery works.
DeleteAwww! that is so very sweet of your hubby! :) Mine is plugged in constantly so I know how much of a relief it is to have a working battery! :)
ReplyDeleteYes it is
DeleteI've been reading blogs all day and still I'm not caught up! I love badminton too. Yep, that is exactly the kind of bike I want! Hooray for the new battery. Enjoy the rest of your week.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Hope you have a great week too.
DeleteI haven't played badminton in years, but I used to enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteI do love that pink bike!
Me too!
DeleteThat is a pretty pink bicycle. I like the basket too :)
