Friday Photos

Lucy relaxing while we were watching TV one evening this week.

We saw this peacock ambling across the road. He or she lives
(along with a few other peacocks) on a horse farm close to my sister’s home.
It’s been awhile since I’ve been able to get a picture of one of them.

Well that’s about the only photos I have this week. Hope you have a great weekend and thanks for visiting.

Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. Hello August. What's one thing you're looking forward to this month? Hubby and I both have birthdays and I'm looking forwarding to celebrating those days together.

2. What are you doing to beat the heat right now?   If you live in the southern hemisphere are you enjoying cooler temps or counting the days until summer?Staying inside with the A/C on.  Also, doing my walking early in the morning before it gets too hot.

3. How do you see the world? I see the world as God's beautiful creation made for us because He loves us...I am not blind with how the world has fallen because of sin...however, I choose to look for the good (and there is lots of that) and not dwell on the bad.

4. What's food product do you think is better store bought than home made? I prefer store bought hamburger and hot dog buns.  How about something you refuse to buy because it is so much better homemade? Lasagna

5. Are you easy to get along with? I like to think I am.

6. Insert your own random thought here.  Had to stop for a parade of geese yesterday.

Here they are in the field and on the other side of the road
there were just as many, if not more.

Bits of This and That

Good Monday Morning:

I hope all of you are doing well.  I wasn't feeling very good when I woke this morning, but I'm feeling much better now and I'm ready to get some things accomplished on this fine day.

It's really pretty out right now with sunshine and blue skies and it's currently 68 degrees here.  However, that's supposed to change around 1:00 and it looks like we may be getting some more rain and thunder and lightening.  It seems we have been having lots of rain lately; but, I must say, the grass is really green and beautiful.

When we were leaving the house this morning, hubby saw a bird peeking out from our bird house.  As soon as I tried to get a picture it flew away.  It came back and then flew away again and still no picture.  Hopefully I'll get it soon.  Also I put out our hummingbird feeders and so far I've seen 2 hummingbirds. But alas, no picture of them either. Man, I love watching those things!

On Friday, I met 2 of my cousins at a church in Middletown for a concert of Appalachian Blue Grass Music.  It was fun and we enjoyed it.  After that we went to lunch at Cracker Barrel and it was just so nice to be together and talk about everything under the sun.

Saturday night around 9:50 one of the Starlink Satellites was supposed to pass over in our area.  The sky was fairly clear, but I never did see it.  They are supposed to pass by a couple more times this week but they won't be as bright.  But if the skies are halfway clear, I'll probably be out there looking.  I have seen one before, but I wasn't prepared and didn't have my camera with me.  They are really cool to see.  It's like a string of lights in the sky and they only stay in sight for a very short time.

Sunday was nice.  We had 2 really good services.  Sunday morning hubby preached on God's Answer to Temptation.  Make sure your exit signs are still lit.  1Corinthians 10:13 says "No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it."  Below is the pre-recorded sermon.

Well, that's about it for today.  I hope you all have a really good day.

Friday Photos

I haven't been taking a lot of photos recently.  I have a few from this week. Actually most are from Thursday.

Hubby and I spent some time in a nearby park yesterday.  I took a short walk and saw the 2 squirrels in these pictures along with many more that I didn't get pictures of.  It was much colder than I thought and I didn't put my coat on, so I didn't last too long out there,

He did not move very much at all.

One last picture of this guy,.

This guy was almost acting like he was posing for me.

Especially in this photo when he turned and looked right at me.  I took his picture
and told him thanks for posing and we both walked on in different directions.

It was warmer in the afternoon and Lucy and I took a walk.

Look at that tongue sticking out...I don't think she likes her photo taken.  lol

Linking up with Saturday Critters.

Well, that's it for now.  Thanks for visiting.
