If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Thankful Thursday

This week I am thankful for:

**Books again - I am so enjoying re-reading the books by Lori Wick.  I know I mention her books quite often on here and I wish she was still writing.  But I find after a couple of years, I forget a lot of the book and I'm enjoying reading them again.

**Lucy - our dog brings so much happiness and joy to our home (and a little aggravation too...lol) and I am so happy we have her.

The day we brought her home

This is all I'll post right now.  I have lots to be thankful for and I am thankful, but I'm only going to list these 2 today.

So what are you thankful for?  You can make your own post and link up or you can comment below.

Hope you have a great day and thanks for visiting.

Photo Scavenger Hunt - UPDATED...I now have them all.

Lily Grace of The Adventures of Lily Grace challenged us to a Photo Scavenger Hunt.  I enjoyed doing this as I love to take pictures.  It was a bit of a challenge to find some of these yesterday.  There were a couple that I couldn't find, so I used some photos from my files.  I think I've gotten everything.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Thankful Thursday

Click above to link up

First of all, I'm thankful for Rebecca for doing Thankful Thursday.  She has now decided to split this up with 2 other people to help post the link-up .  Check out Rebecca's blog above and then one of the others is Leslie at Once Upon a Time and Happily Ever After, who I have just recently started following.  The other is new to me, but we can check her out at Jennifer at All 4 Boys.  So glad to know that as Rebecca takes a break from time to time we can still have a link up and I plan to get to know these 2 ladies better.

So thankful that hubby almost always takes me to work and picks me up too.  He also, almost always goes and picks up some breakfast and brings it to me.  Heaven knows I can never seem to get up and get ready quick enough to have breakfast at home.  lol  He is such a blessing to me.

I'm thankful for the nice weather we've been having this week.  Not too hot and not too muggy.  Today is a high of 78 and sunny, which is about perfect to me.

I'm also very thankful for every new day God allows me to live.

So what are you thankful for today?

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a blessed day.

Thankful Thursday

This week I am thankful for:

**Hot Water.  We came home Monday after work and the pilot light was out on our hot water heater.  We tried to light it multiple times, but no go.  Called early Tuesday morning and they said they could be there early Wednesday morning.  They showed up when they said they were and advised the expense to fix the problem was probably not worth it since our heater is 9 years old.  So we decided to have a new one installed.  One guy left to get the heater and the other started tearing down the old one.  Within about 2 hours, they had it installed.  There was a part that was bad (yes in a brand new heater) but he got it ordered from the manufacturer and will install that in the next day or two.  However, he manually lit it and we currently have hat water.  Let me tell you, a hot shower never felt so good as it did this morning.

So what are you thankful for.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a great day.

This or That

This or That

A little old school blogging fun today.  I copied this from Seaside Simplicity's post on Thursday and am answering them here.

1. Morning or Night - I used to be a night person as I worked 2nd shift for many years.  But for the last 15 years or so I've been on Dayshift and I am definitely more of a morning person.

2. Coffee or Tea - Neither.  I'll take a Diet Coke.

3. Text or Call - I prefer calling most of the time.  I'm not very good at texting.

4. Small town or Big city - Small town

5. Beer or Wine - Neither.  Again, I'll take a Diet Coke.

6. Messy or Tidy - Very tidy in my office at work, but messy in the privacy of my home.  Hoping that will change when I retire and have more time at home.

7. Introvert or Extrovert - I'm somewhere in between.

8. Cats or Dogs - Dogs

9. English or Math - English

10. Sweet or Savory - Sweet, then savory and then sweet and then savory.  lol

11. Beach or Mountains - Beach

12. Predictability or Excitement - Predictability, I think.  Although, I like excitement sometimes too.

13. Time machine or Magic wand - Magic wand, so I can take care of the messy at home.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a great weekend!

Thankful Thursday

Things I am thankful for:

**A new day filled with God's mercies.

**Joy in my family (both church family and relatives) and friends (both real life friends and blog friends).

**My job and co-workers.

**The Bible studies we are currently having at church (just learning so much and understanding things more and more).

**My dog who drives me crazy sometimes, but mostly just gives all the love and acceptance and is always happy to see me.

**My hubby, who is always kind and patient and who I just totally adore (and he adores me too).

**My wonderful grandson and both daughters and their men who love them.

God is so good and I love Him and better yet, He loves me!

So what are you thankful for this week?

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a great day.  I know if we think on the things we are thankful for that is a great way to start a great day!

Cathy

I just found out that Rebecca Jo will be taking a break from the link-up.  She's still thankful and may make posts, but she has a lot of things going on in her life right now.  Hey, if you think about it, I'm sure she could use the prayers. Click here if you'd like to read her post.

Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. July 5th is National Hawaii Day...have you ever been to Hawaii? No, I have not been to Hawaii.  Any desire to visit or make a return trip? Sometimes I'd like to go and I wouldn't turn down a free trip, however, I don't think that's going to happen and I'm okay with that.  There are so many things to see within the 48 continental states. Pineapple, mango, or guava...what's your pleasure? Mango and Pineapple.  I'm not sure I've ever had guava.

 2. Last time you were 'thrown in at the deep end'? An upcoming Craft Show  Explain. I feel I'm in the deep end right now trying to figure out all the ends and outs of preparing for a craft show this fall.  We've pretty much decided what we're making and have quite a bit prepared.  But we also need to figure out the pricing, and how much do we really need to provide, etc.  Lots of fun, but a little overwhelming too.

 3. Sun, sea, sand, salt...your favorite when it comes to summer? Air conditioning.  lol  Actually, I love to see the ocean, but prefer it in the fall when it's not so hot.

 4. Bury your head in the sand, the sands of time, draw a line in the sand, pound sand, shifting sands...pick one and tell us how the phrase currently relates to your life in some way. The sands of time.  Life seems to be passing so swiftly (but then again, that's life).

 5. On a scale of 1-10 (1 = make your own rules and 10=like a warden), how strict were your parents? My parent's were pretty strict, but not unfairly so.  If you're a parent where on the scale do you land? We were pretty strict too.  Probably about an 8 or so, just like both sets of our parents.

 6. Insert your own random thought here.  I'm trying to live more often by this scripture hubby shared in his sermon a couple weeks ago.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Tuesday 4

Blogging

Welcome to Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4 kept up in her memory.

This week the questions were supplied by Pamela Steiner... Here we go, let's talk about Blogging!

1.  Tell us about your blog.  When did you start blogging?  My first blog post was on Saturday, September 13, 2008.  Go here if you want to read it.

2.  What prompted you to begin blogging?  The link in #1 takes you to my first post which explains why I started blogging and a little about my family.

3.  What was your first blog about and why did you choose that subject/title?  My current title is the same as it was in the beginning.  The TCKK is from the first initial of each one of us.  Tracy, Cathy, Kelli and Kerri.  And the Tales are because of stories and pictures I've shared of our lives.

4.  How has your blog changed over time, and has it done for you what you hoped it would do in the first place?  In the beginning it was talking mostly about our family and our life together.  Now we are empty nesters and it is mostly just about us and what we are doing and whenever possible, pictures of the girls, significant others and our grandson (especially the grandson).

So why and when did you start blogging.  Link up here and answer these questions if you'd like.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a great day.

A Sentence A Day - June 2021

I did not keep up with A Sentence A Day in June.  I really don't know why, but I just didn't.  It's July 2nd now, so let me see what I can come up with.  We actually had a fairly quiet month, so I guess there really wasn't all that much to write about each day.   We worked and then came home and spent the majority of the evenings just doing home things.  I just checked Good Reads and found out I read or listened to the audio version of 7 books in June (guess I've got my reading mojo back some).  Currently I'm re-reading the books by Lori Wick.  She is one of my favorite authors, although I don't believe she writes anymore.  We took my sister shopping most Saturdays and went to church on Sunday and most times took an afternoon nap.  We lost 4 family members and 2 friends in June.  Praying for all of their families.  We also found out that we're going to have a new nephew in December which is very exciting.

Well that's about it.  Hopefully, I'll do better with a daily sentence for July.

Thankful Thursday

Click above to link up.

I bought a BlendJet 2 this past month and so far I love it.  I have tried a couple fruit smoothies and also some milk shakes.  I use my no sugar added Kroger brand ice cream and they are the best.  Plus they are not all that big so I don't feel like I'm over-doing when I drink one.  Just the perfect size.  Very easy clean-up too, so I am thankful for this little blender.

This picture is from BlendJet and this is not the color I bought.

I'm totally enjoying re-reading a bunch of Lori Wick's books.  She has been a favorite author for a long time and I think I've read almost all of her books.  I don't think she's writing anymore, which is why I'm re-reading them.  I've also been listening to a lot of audio books at work right now.  Currently I just started a new mystery by Betty Hechtman about a yarn retreat.  So 2 of my favorite things, yarn and reading.  Hope I like it, because she has a lot of these type mysteries in our library.  So thankful my mom took us to libraries as children and I've learned to have a great love for reading.

What are you thankful for this week?  You can click on the button above if you'd like to join with Rebecca for Thankful Thursday as I have done today.

Thanks for visiting.
