We had a nice Thanksgiving with family. There were 26 of us together and the food and fellowship was great! Thanks Jeff and Jamie for hosting.
Believe it or not, I ended up going out shopping with a girlfriend and 4 teenage girls. We went to a local mall and were there from 11p to about 3am. It was ridiculous but so much fun to watch. My girlfriend and I mostly just sat and watched and carried the girls bags so they could shop some more. About 2am or so I finally bought a couple of things.
I slept in a little then that morning and then hubby and I went to Red Lobster for lunch. By far, the best Red Lobster meal I've had in a long, long time. Yummy!
Saturday we finished shopping for the kids for the giving tree. That is always so much fun to do. Of course, now I need to wrap them (which is not quite as much fun. haha).
Went to mom and dad's that evening and visited with the family again.
Sunday was church. Excellent morning worship service. Great message on "keeping on believing". Then we went to lunch with my husband's parents and his brother and wife and the nephews. His parents just got back into town Friday night. It was great being with them.
So it's been a great weekend with family and friends. Hope yours was good too.
Hey, Cathy!
ReplyDeleteThank you soooo much for your help today, I really appreciate it!
I loved your wrap up post. So glad to hear you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. The more the merrier, I think! :D
A Red Lobster lunch with your hubby...sounds like the PERFECT date!
Isn't it WONDERFUL when we get to spend special time with our families? Times to be cherished!
Blessings~
Laura
Red Lobster sounds pretty good to me right about now too...I think I'm finally turkey-ed out!
ReplyDeleteThat's always fun to sit back & watch & enjoy Black Friday without all the fighting of the crowds yourself :) Laughing at others is always fun! ;) haha!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to sit back and watch the world walk by (or run by if trying to find that one more gift) Glad you had such fun.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a full Thanksgiving holiday. And shopping at 2 in the morning? Oh my, you are adventurous. But I guess you have to experience it at least once, right?
ReplyDeleteBlessings and love,
Debbie
Shopping from 11PM to 3AM? You, my friend, are heartier than I am. I am lucky to be able to stay up until 10PM. ha!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a marvelous weekend.
