Sarah's Garden by Kelly Long. I listened to this book while at work. It was a very good, sweet book about a young Amish girl that fell in love with an Englisher who had just moved into the area. He was a veterinarian. He had been raised in the area when he was very young, as his father was a Doctor in the area. His parents passed and he grew up and became a vet. Of course, there is the issue of Amish and English and that they can't be together and the pain it caused and how they both had to learn to trust God. I'll not say more, because I don't want to ruin anything for anyone who might like to read it. This is the first book by Kelly Long that I've read, but I really like her style and will be looking for more of her work.
His Baby Bond by Lee Tobin McClain. I read this book on my Kindle. This was a good story about a woman whose sister had died and she was raising her child. Then the brother of the baby's father (who had also died) showed up and wanted to take the child. The story was about them and how they could solve this. Just a light Christian romance.
Unsinkable by Debbie Reynolds and Dorian Hannaway. This is another book I borrowed from my library and listened to while at work. I've always enjoyed Debbie Reynolds movies and this was a pretty good book and she is the one who read the book which made it really fun. She is a very interesting woman who has lived a very full and not necessarily easy life. She's a little crass at times and it got a little slow in places when she kept talking about her financial issues. But when she talked about her movies and all the other stars she worked with and jknew that was fun.
Currently I'm reading reading C S Lewis "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe". I really like it, but I'm just not taking a lot of time for reading right now because of the knitting I'm doing. Hopefully, I'll have this finished by the next time we post the challenge.
What are you reading? Why not join up at Rebecca Jo's and let us know.
