FMF Prompt: Comfort
Start
What brings you comfort? For me, my husband brings me comfort. Last year when I was sick and would get scared or panicky, he would sit with me and just talk to me, or pray for me and read scripture to me and sometimes we would sing together. And usually before long peace and comfort would come. I know God is the one who gave the comfort, but he used my husband as the instrument to bring it to me. I just hope that God uses me as an instrument to help bring comfort to others.

ReplyDeleteThose were the verses that came to mind for me as well. How wonderful that God uses His people to bring comfort.
ReplyDeleteI think so too Carol.
DeleteWhat beautiful fotos. And how precious that your husband brings you comfort... such a blessing! 💜
ReplyDeleteI love the saying by Erna Bombeck, wouldn't that be a wonderful thing?!!
ReplyDeleteI see from your photos that you've been down in my neck of the woods - I live in Tampa Bay area northwest of Tampa. Tarpon Springs is one my favorite places and well as sunset on any beach.
ReplyDeleteI thought of that verse, too! Love how you point out that being a comfort to others can be so simple but mean so much. Visiting from FMF. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely post and beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteYes God sends comfort but not everyone is willing to be a messenger. Isn't it wonderful that your husband is ready and willing!
Loved this, Cathy, and I hope your husband read it!
ReplyDeletePics are great; I used to live in St. Pete, on Pinellas Point. Just west of the Pink Streets!
#1 at FMF this week.

I enjoyed this Cathy. God has often used people or even His creation to bring me comfort. Good to remember we can be used by Him for that purpose in another's life too.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to have a husband who supports you through everything. Enjoyed your photos and I always go to the Sponge Docks when I visit my dad. It is about 15 minutes from his house. We go for Gyros!
