I did it!! I completed the 5K Great Pumpkin Run. It was not pretty, but I finished it and in spite of the horrible, awful, terrible time, I'm still proud of myself. Because when I hit the proverbial wall in the 2nd mile, I wasn't sure I could complete it, but with the encouragement of my cousin, I made it. She stayed by me the whole time, even though she normally runs these things. She was awesome and I'm so thankful she's my family. Her sister was awesome too and waited for us at the end until I came dragging in. lol
You know, that's how we should be in our Christian walk. We should come up along those who are struggling on the road and help them out and encourage them to keep on walking. If we do that, we'll all make it across that finish line. It may not be pretty getting there, but we'll make it together and with Jesus. I've posted a few pictures from that day.

Here we are finally at the starting line. |

Because of all the rain Friday night and Saturday morning, I was covered in mud when it was all over. Most everyone was! |

My medal! |

Hubby rewarded me later with a wonderful hot chocolate from Starbucks. I think I finally got warm after drinking this. |
So that was my adventure for the weekend. How was your weekend?
