Nothing much to tell about this weekend. It was mostly quiet. I got a new Kindle last week and I spent quite a bit of time reading. I enjoyed that so much. It's not particularly interesting to write about, but it was good. We did get to have a quick lunch with our youngest. However, she did not bring the baby. 😔 But it was so good to see and talk with her. We had 2 good services on Sunday and in between met Tracy's family for lunch. We sat there for a couple hours just visiting and talking. So good to be with them.
Not much else to report and no pictures to share. But so blessed by God.

Sounds like a peaceful weekend, sometimes it's just what we need!
ReplyDeleteIt was definitely what we needed after such a busy week.
DeleteOHHHH - which Kindle did you get?
ReplyDeleteThe Kindle Paperwhite with touchscreen and backlight. Mine was the really old one that had no light and buttons you had to use to change pages. Love this one so very much. I've already read one book and about half through another one. Of course, I'm not getting much housework done. lol
DeleteSometimes just having a peaceful, quiet weekend is soothing...although I find that I miss the activity of having family around when they aren't nearby. I do a lot of reading, but I don't have a kindle. I have a public library that I keep busy filling my "orders" for good Christian fiction. That's been a real blessing...all the books are FREE! Enjoy your reading time and your family time. Life is good...and God is good...all the time good!!
ReplyDeleteMost of the books I read on Kindle are free or just a dollar or two. I also get books for my Kindle through my library. I love the library. I also get audio books from my library. Love being able to do that. Yrs, God is good all the time.
DeleteI've seen Reni a couple of times without Marcy being with her and it was weird. I told her she couldn't come over without the baby anymore. She laughed at me. :) They're used to me joking else I wouldn't have gone there. I had peace for a short window this weekend and it was glorious!
