I'm linking up with Jennifer at Overflowing with Thankfulness for Share 4 Somethings. The prompts are things we loved, read, learned and ate in March.
Loved: I loved getting some clearance yarn to make something with. I haven't yet finished the other project, but started a new one with the yarn I bought as a friend has a new grandbaby coming in May and I want this for him. This yarn is regularly $13.99 a skein and it was on sale for $3.49 each. I think that's pretty awesome! This is the new one I've started And here is the other one
Read: I've read 5 books in March and currently I've started a 6th book and hope to finish it before the end of the month. If you're curious about what I've read you can check my Good Reads link in the right sidebar. EDIT this morning. I'm having a hard time getting into the book I started (it's the 4th in the series I've been reading by Alana Terry. I'm pretty sure I'll get back to it soon though.), so last night I started a book by my favorite author, Lori Wick called Every Storm. I've already read it a couple of times with the last time being in 2021.
I've also been reading the 4 Gospels along with Annie F. Downs. This month we're reading the Gospels in the NLT version and chronologically.
Learned: Though I've read Amos before, I never realized how much good there really is in it. I'm really enjoying this study by Jennifer Rothschild.
Ate: Probably my favorites this month are both Chinese. One is called the Great Tang and it is a very good, small sit-down type place and the other is Hunan House Buffet and it is also very good.
Well that's my 4 Somethings for March. You can link up here if you'd enjoy writing a Share Something post or visiting others who have.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a good weekend.
Cathy
Having enough time to read is what I miss the most these days. It's the first time in my life I've ever felt like there aren't enough hours in the day. The blankets are lovely!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you don't have reading time because I know you love it. I hope you have a good weekend.
DeleteThat is a great deal on the yarn!
ReplyDeleteI think so too.
DeleteThat yarn is lovely! The blue looks like it's been dusted by snowfall.
ReplyDeleteI really like it and it's nice to work with too.
DeleteYour projects are so pretty! Good find on the sale yarn!! I love Chinese food. Now I'm hungry! Have a blessed weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you Terri. I hope you get some Chinese food. Have a great weekend.
DeleteI also got a nice stash of clearance yarn! Did you get it at Hobby Lobby? I have not read Alana Terry but have heard good things about her. Which study were you doing by Jennifer Rothschild? She is a great teacher!
ReplyDeleteYes, I went to 2 different Hobby Lobby's to check their clearance sale. Plus I got some on sale from Joann's too. It was a fun week. lol We're doing Jennifer Rothschild's study on Amos. Have a great weekend.
DeleteThat yarn is gorgeous ... the colors, the texture. Beautiful. And a cozy way to meet you this weekend, Cathy!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to meet you too. I'm really liking working with this yarn.
DeleteThanks for sharing. Nice reading your Sharing 4. Your yarn work is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWow - what a great bargain on your yarn! I LOVE a good bargain. Both projects are off to a lovely start! And Chinese food sounds pretty good right about now:)
ReplyDeleteCathy, that sure was a great deal on yarn. I'm usually an avid book reader, but I've been in a slump for several months and it's been taking me forever to finish a book. Those blankets look pretty already, you do such lovely work.
