Bits of This and That

Good morning:

I hope everyone is well today.  We both are doing well and enjoyed our weekend.  So, I'll share a bit about the last few days.

On Thursday we came to church for a bit so hubby could pre-record the Sunday morning sermon.  Then we went to his mom's, and he programmed her new house phone and got her set up there.  Then we went to Fazoli's for lunch.  The food was good and the conversations even better.

On Friday, we had Outback for lunch and then I ran in the grocery and picked up some stuff we needed.

On Saturday we had lunch at our local Buffalo Wild Wings.  It's been several years since we've eaten there.  It was kind of fun being there during one of the March Madness games (Dayton vs Arizona).  Food was good and it was very loud, but it's always a fun place to people watch.

On Sunday we went to church and had Sunday School and morning service...both were good.  Then we had a potluck lunch afterwards.  Good food and again good conversations.  After coming home, we took a nap and then Lucy and I went out for a walk, and I listened to a book while we were walking.  I definitely need to do this more often.  It feels less like exercise if I'm listening to a good book.

All the evenings we watched some TV.  I think 2 of the nights we watched a Hallmark Mystery Movie and then some of our regular shows.  Some laundry was done, some housework, and just whatever else we felt like doing.

So, while not exciting, it was a very good weekend.  Tonight, I'm supposed to meet up with some former co-workers, which should be fun.

Thanks for visiting.  Tell me something you did over the weekend.

Cathy

  1. Sounds like a good Thursday. I love how you guys go out to eat so often. I always enjoyed potlucks at church growing up. We have always had one at Christmas and the end of the season at bowling and they don't let us do it anymore. :( Yes, it definitely sounds like a nice weekend. Hope your week goes well.

  2. What a great weekend! We had a church potluck yesterday, too, helping welcome the Korean church members in neighboring Prattville. They just voted to disaffiliate from UMC, but as a result lost their church building.
Outback and Buffalo Wild Wings are on our 'to visit' list; I'm usually leery of stepping outside my comfort zone -- but nothing ventured, nothing gained. Right?

    1. Yes, you are right. It's not always easy for us with some of my husband's disabilities, but we keep going on. He's afraid if we stop, he'll give up-so we don't stop.

  3. We used to have a Fazoli's here in Lakeland, but it didn't last very long. Ours wasn't that good and it soon became a Starbucks. Your weekend sounds like it was great!

    1. We have 2 Fazoli's within 30-40 minutes of us, so we enjoy going every once in a while.

  5. Lots of good dinners out with loved ones and friends. Food and Fellowship always go together well! We went out to eat Sunday after church with a large group from church. It was kind of a farewell dinner for a friend of ours who is moving back up north to stay. She will be missed. (the other Pamela). So besides church and the usual routine, that is what we did this weekend. Hope you have a blessed Holy Week.

  6. Aren't fun and social weekends the best? I used to love going to Fazoli's when the boys were younger. I wish we still had one around! I'd give just about anything for one of their breadsticks. Ha! I'm so glad you had a great weekend, sweet friend!
