Bits of This and That

 Good Morning:

We've had an okay weekend. We both are still fighting whatever it is we have, but we are getting better. We spent the majority of the weekend at home. We've been allowing ourselves to rest, read, watch TV, do laundry, and just be home together.

Little Lucy has been a little fearful for the last 2 weeks. Mostly she's been hiding out in the bedroom. Finally, she's come back out and spending time with us in the livingroom as we're watching TV or whatever. We think because we have both been coughing so much, that our loud coughs have scared her. We cannot think of any other reason why she was scared. I won't say she's completely over it, but she's much better. Lucy and I also spent time outside enjoying the beautiful weather.

Lucy out in the front yard.

I'm sitting on the front porch then this is the view across out front yard,

We did go out each day for a short time to run some errands and get something to eat. We also made it to all services on Sunday. I'm not sure how he did it (except through prayer) hubby was able to preach. I'll post Sunday's pre-recorded sermon below.

Thanks for visiting and I'd love to hear about your weekend.

Cathy

  1. I am sorry to hear you've both been so sick. Sound like you've had what my sister had, and it has taken her a few weeks to get over it. No fun at all. Poor Lucy! She doesn't seem to recognize you all when you are making barking noises like a dog! LOL. Bless her little heart. I do hope she and you will all be back to "normal" very soon. Your front yard picture is very pretty. Looks like spring is in the air. That may be why you've been so sick...pollen, perhaps? But yes, I like Tracy's quote at the end. Yes, God is always faithful, regardless of our level of faith. Praise God! Have a blessed week my friend.

  2. Oh ugh ... I didn't realize you two were prey to whatever bug's going around. Poor little Lucy; wouldn't you love to be able to read her mind? Your yard is so pretty ... just look at that green-green expanse and the pretty sky. Stuff that makes one go, "Thank you, Jesus!"

  6. Glad you are feeling better. That is so sad about Lucy but I think you are right about the reason she was hiding.
